why still go after kermit when we can get this guy?

  • the kid's name is sebastian larue (santa monica (California) High School ) and he told my cousin that he wants a Miami offer and he doesnt care about going away. Oklahoma and FSU have offered.

    exactly what hes looking for....Any recruit that
    does this to Miami I take it personally, should I ?

    Miami and thats the way I am, just being honest....

  • Idk man, the kid is as good as advertised but im not really sure how serious he is. Don't get it wrong, I'd love to get the Cali pipeline back but this kid has like 30 offers already and it was reported that he wanted to stay close to home. I hope he changed his mind which is what high school kids do but we need to start recruiting him YESTERDAY!!!!

    I mean its sucks but people do it often. Look at it like this, last year we had keith brown and trent taylor. Both were strong commits but decommitted and went to other schools. I remember keith brown talking about how much he LOVED the U but he left. So, ok that just opens the door for Jawand Blue who we snatched from VTech at the last minute. If people really want to be here they will be here. Some guys commit early because they only have that offer. Then more come and they would rather open it back up rather than wait till signing day. I respect Kermit for doing what he did instead of waiting until NSD to change his mind. I love the U just as much as you do but thats just part of recruiting, get mad for a day and move on bro!

He had a few offers early but I think the biggest offer was from Pittsburgh, then once UM offered him and he committed on the spot several schools started calling after that and he wanted to look around but honest his daddy stopped it... He told him, u gave that school your word so stick with it... Kids get offers from one school and others pile on, and as a kid that's what you are looking for basically more the better... Some stick with their first commit and other's run with it and play mind games... Just the business
