Stop living in fantasy land, dawg, especially when reality is smacking you in the face. Being a fan has zero to do with how bad of a decision some of these guys make. If people weren't bad mouthing them or critizing their choices then thats when you have to worry, because when you no longer care and then you stop talking about it. Agree with the OP. Question his decision to come out, question his ability. But some people on these boards are openly rooting against our own players. Just sad man.

I am not bad mouthing any of our former players, let me dumb it down for you; I am bad mouthing you for shauwing 'Canes fan. I get it, you have an I.Q. of a mice and don't really grasp what I am trying to explain. I'm calling an asshole out that is all. Go read some of Rudy's earlier posts on players and the NFL draft, maybe that will give you an insight of how things work, since you seem, oh so detach from reality.

So fellas what WE all are trying to express as cane fans, that we are disappointed in the decision our players to leave early and now they are going lower then we would like them too..
But we will be happy for them when their name is called!! Let's be real too if they dont leave early we don't get a few of the top recruits that we signed. Remember the staff was selling EARLY playing time!!! Let's be happy we refilling the ranks with more canes!!

As a fan, I can I am and was extremely disappointed to see the players leave early. However, I am not the one to bad mouth someone's decision. I will surely question it but not bad mouth. Therefore, I've been a Cane fan since birth and I cannot ever recall a situation where Canes left prematurely because they didn't want to work hard to improve their areas of weakness or because the new coaching staff actually made them work. I can understand a player leaving for monetary reasons but when you leave for pennies when you can make dollars then it doesn't make sense. If Lamar is drafted in the upcoming rounds he will be a special teams player at best and will have sme strong competition. He already lacks tremendous skills in picking up blocks and blitz packages. I just cannt see him being able to adapt to that in the league. The NFL stands for Not For Long. You have to make an immediate impact in most cases cause you will easily be replaced in free agency or the next draft. He should have stayed period, and that's not my selfish reasoning speaking, they even received advice from current Canes in the NFL advising them to stay but disregarded all good advice and followed the advice of someone who saw them as a profit. I have no ill feelings towards them but highly disappointed in their decision.

Lastly, someone in another broke it down. If drafted they will be likely making the league avergae or minimum between 500-600k. Seems decent right? Nope! The agent has to take their cut, then they have to repay those facilities they used to train for the league, TAXES of course, and then the most of them all FAMILY! That's only so little to spread
