The Gators are back to being what they traditionally have been: a 2nd tier SEC team.
They had a run with Spurrier then Meyer, but before Spurrier UF had never won an SEC championship.

It took the Gators 59 years in the SEC to win their first SEC championship in 1991.
In the past 21 years they've won the SEC 8 times, so in 80 years of SEC competition

I can almost guarantee it won't take Miami 59 years to win their 1st ACC championship.

Facts are facts, and they had their run. That run came to an abrupt halt the moment Tebow left.
Leak was the starting QB on Meyer's first NC team but Tebow was an integral part of that team. He was the second leading rusher and best short yardage back as a freshman. He had 13 TD's as a backup.
It can be argued that without Tebow playing as a freshman they wouldn't have gotten to the BCS game.

In the last 5 years Florida has had a top 5 recruiting class 4 times, and I'd take our current team over theirs every day of the week.

I think we have a great chance to get our 1st ACC championship THIS YEAR.
I thought the same last year as well, and 1-2 plays in each of our losses due to lack of discipline were the only thing that kept us from being undefeated.
The only team that scares me in 2012 is FSU but their O-line is a shambles.
I'm not saying we go undefeated this year BUT I wouldn't be surprised if we did.
We have the coaching and the athletes right now. Whether those athletes become disciplined football players is going to determine how 2012 pans out.

I've wondered the past couple years why we just didn't bulk Ray Ray up and make him a linebacker. The plays he makes are always at the second level anyway, and he seems to prefer coming up instead of being a ball hawk, which he certainly isn't.
