Why do they play scared

  • The only defenders that will fly to the ball is denzel and deon without holding back everyone else waits and stalls and lets the defender dictate. Whyyyyy?????

  • And the d coordinator doesn't know what he is doing period. How does k state line up 5 wide and still run it. You KNOW THERE NOT THROWING IT!!!!!! 31 never needs to touch the field and telamaque you have been starting for a decade and you still cant run up and hit, The one play where deon flew pass everybody and hit the running back was a sign of better days. And the defensive line we should have put sentrel in or something because they pushed us the whole game. Every team is fast now and the old U way of fast linebacker isn't going to cut it. We have no schemes period everything looks the same. I expect blown assignments but not our front seven today was horrible,

  • I don't think they got pushed around, they just don't get off blocks quick enough to make plays and they don't get in the backfield to cause confusion and get sacks... KState qb ran a lot but he just a athlete and he finds the holes... I really agree they looked nervous, it's like after haftime they came out and didn't score and just gave in... The offense needs to get a lot of blame as well, because if u don't put up points against a team this it will get ugly!!!

  • Eddie Johnson will be a certified stud. He is only a RS freshman too. The future looks bright. We are just extremely young and people are expecting way too much out of a team with 64 underclassmen. 64!!

    Johnson is a little over 240 pounds and a 400 bencher. He is a solid run stuffer and will get bigger.

    21 Brandon McGee - who has improved
    7 Vaughn Telemaque - Needs to go.
    30 A.J. Highsmith - converted QB
    52 Denzel Perryman - STUD
    45 Ramon Buchanan - doing ok
    71 Anthony Chickillo - only real Dend
    98 Darius Smith - more of a run stopper

    94 Kelvin Cain - converted LB - never really played much
    51 Shayon Green - converted LB - never really played much

    So if we look at it we are just to young. RS left us with nothing and out of this group above AG brought in Perryman, Chickillo and Smith. AG needs two more years to recruit real Dlineman and left the young guys get stronger and experience.

    Trust in the tie.

    Thanx for showing this!!! Now look at that list, (McGee, Perryman, Buchanan, Chickillo, and Smith) are the only ones playing like they seen the field before... All other 8 spots on the defense are basically inexperienced!!! Players aren't scared they just aren't adjusted to real live CFB action right now, I think once we get to week 4 our defense will be settled in and playing better, they will still struggle with somethings because of the youth but they will be more in tone with, what they're suppose to be doing on the field... Yesterday against KState, the field position our defense was put in early really killed us at the beginning of the game... And of course all the 3rd down conversations!!! Now once the 2nd half came, and we got the ball first and couldn't make anything happen I believe the players put their tails between their legs and gave up hope... Look how the 2nd string qb ran 2 easy tds against our defense, just straight through the middle... They had gave up, that's all it was...

  • Yes we are young, but thats no excuse for playing scared. That was the most pathetic canes team I have ever seen. We got punked everywhere on the field. The O line, HA HA, the D line is non exsistent and that includes Chickillo. They all looked confused,and as for coaching, see above. And I guess it makes people feel better to say Perryman played good, but he did'nt. They looked un coached and scared. What happened to this U. And if you think that was bad just wait till the fag seminholes get here. The big question is, can we beat Bethune ? Either the players are just flat out terrible or coaching sucks. I think its a little of both.
