Ultimate ProCanes team

  • It is hard to get the best Canes all on one team but on Offense this would be pretty scary.

Miller is like the 2nd coming of Portis very simliar, and with Denver's old coach in Washington why not try to land him with that 6th pick of the 2nd round or 38th overall. I can see him going there. Making that offense even scarier would be to land Streeter at the 6th pick of the 3rd Rd or 70th overall. The Skins could Draft a good OL in the first RD and sign Peyton Manning. You would have Hank and Streeter outside with Moss in the Slot and Miller at RB with Peyton direction traffic. That would be a FUN team to watch.

If only ST were still there...I hate the Redskins though and I'm still skeptical about Miller's toughness. Hank didn't get to see the field too much last year. Perhaps we could put together an all time NFL Canes squad. I assume you would start with Kelly as your QB, but what RB gets the starting nod? Personally I would go with Edge. Him and Otis Anderson as your 2 backs would be Thunder and Lightning.

Depends on what Style of O and D you run as to who gets picks, The Stork is crazy in a 3-4 D as a stand up rusher. Vinnie is probably better in the prostyle while Kelly was great in that K-Gun Style. A young Edge was good led the league twice but for my Money Portis was the man, he avg way over 5 yards a carry for a couple years in Denver and was a big time homerun threat. Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne at WR, Shockey and Graham at TE, our HOF Center Jones and Mt Mckinne on the line, we really have so many great players you can make a "Hall of very good" just out of ProCanes.

  • I'm going to give this a shot. Pro's only or I would have guys like Rusty Madearis in there.

QB- Jim Kelly Pro Football HOF, Then Vinny and Bernie

RB- The Edge has to be first, followed by Ottis Anderson, Portis and Gore

TE- Shockey, then Kellen Winslow, but 10 years from now sure looks like Jimmy Graham

WR- Irvin the Playmaker. NFL HOF, followed by Reggie Wayne. Andre Johnson after Wayne but again 10 years from now Johnson could be on the top. Sorry Eddie Brown, It's more of a passing league and playing for those Bengals didn't help you.

OL-Dennis Harrah, Leon Searcy, McKinnie, Vernon Carey and Eric Winston.

Defense, now here is where it gets tough.

DL- Daniel Stubbs sole defensive end, Jerome Brown best DT I've ever seen may he rest in peace, Cortez Kennedy NFL HOF, Warren Sapp sure fire HOF,

LB-The toughest Cane NFL all pro list.
Ray Lewis, best lb of all time future HOF, Ted Hendricks HOF, Jesse Armstead.
Tough to leave guys like Vilma, Dan Morgan, DJ Williams, Winston Moss, Barrow, Darrin Smith off the list.

DB- Eddie Reed, Bennie Blades, Antrel Rolle Ryan McNeal

    KR-Devin Hester

K/P- Feagles, then Bosher, Feagles played forever but I just love Bosher as a kicker especially for all those crushing hits.

I'd take that pro team and win the Super Bowl every year.

  • Sean Taylor needs in. You can make him kick returner. Make Hester punt returner.

true dat, I actually thought I had him in there.
As a pro though Blades was better. When we had Sean Taylor at Miami he was always the Next Bennie Blades.
Blades was fierce. I still remember him in college as I'm sure Tim Brown from Notre Dame does as well. I've never seen a Heisman Trophy winner play so afraid in my life.

  • Hypothetically, I will take the 2001 Canes roster and make the playoffs. Of that entire roster, 44 guys made a regular season NFL team and 18 of them are still playing today. If the 2000 and 2002 rosters were included, it would be Super Bowl every year

    QB - Dorsey
    RB - Portis, McGahee, Gore
    FB - Davenport
    WR - Johnson
    WR - Parrish (redshirted)
    TE - Shockey, Winslow
    OT - McKinney
    G - Carey
    C - Romberg
    G - Myers
    OT - Gonzalez

    DE - McDougle
    DT - Wilfork
    DT - Joseph
    DE - A. Williams
    OLB - McIntosh (redshirted)
    MLB - Vilma
    OLB - DJ Williams
    CB - Buchanon, Jennings (redshirted)
    CB - Rolle, Rumph
    SS - Taylor
    FS - Reed

  • Sean Taylor was going to be a sure HOF player in NFL... NFL players respected him, I watch his clips on YouTube "this guy was the real deal, no one brought it like he did".. In my eyes, as for the hitting part of football "no safety did it like him in his era (college or pro)" When players knew he was on the field, they looked for him... R.I.P. SEAN TAYLOR 26

  • Jon beason should atleast make your honorable mention at LB too and I would take reed and Taylor as my starting two safeties over anyone else that had ever played

    It's five o'clock somewhere!!!

    Len Mags

  • Heres my list
QB-Jim Kelly, Vinny, Ken Dorsey (I don't care if he never made it as a pro, he was a general and I'd give him a spot on my roster)
RB-Edge, Willis McGahee (IMO would have been the greatest RB to ever play if he never got hurt), Clinton Portis, Frank Gore (I would have to make room for 4 rb's on my team)
    FB- Davenport
WR- Irvin, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss
TE-Shockey, Winslow, Graham, Greg Olsen would be on standby
OL-Searcy,McKinnie,Carey,Winston, Rombergh, Myers would be my 6th man here.
DL-Stubbs, Calais Campbell, Warren Sapp,Wilfork, Jerome Brown would have to rotate
OLB- DJ Williams, Sean Spence (top 3 favorite cane of all time), Jesse Armstead, Rocky McIntosh (loved that guy)
MLB- Ray Lewis, Jon Beason, Vilma
CB- Antrell Rolle, Phillip Buchanon, Brandon Harris, Kelly Jennings
    FS- Ed Reed
    SS-Sean Taylor, Bennie Blades
K/P/KOS- Bosher, the man was clutch on FG, IDK if he ever missed an extra point, he could punt and would race down on coverage too and was an actual threat, could kick it to the endzone and lay the hit if he needed to, and would dive in a pile for the onsides kick.
KR/PR- I don't even need to say his name, who else?

Would be the greatest team of all time..
