This whole South Florida thing is complete BS! We can't take everyone who comes out of South Florida! We just missed it in some local talent but it was not the fault of the coaching staff and the effort they put in. This is not 1984 where all the talent down here stayed home and it was the best kept secret in college football! Now, we have competition all over the place not only from FSU and Florida, but schools like UCF, FIU, USF, and other schools not to mention the SEC and other high profile conferences coming in and recruiting in out back yard! We took a number of kids in 2012 and we set the tone there however, this class was different in a sense that we had limited numbers, some if the recruits didn't want to be home, GRADES, and others were playing games! We all know who falls under those categories so let's just move on from that! We will be fine and I completely trust this coaching staff and we will get the players we want this year especially with all of this NCAA nonsense behind us! Plus the best team in college football history the 2001 team didn't have all South Florida kids on it as it was 55/45 like Golden said so we will be fine guys!

First off it is NOT BS! It is very REAL! Bama's best offensive player or most explosive player was a SFLA kid in amari cooper Clemson has sammy watkins Lonnie Pryor was the best player on the field in the fsu bowl game Thomas Collins and the Kirkland debacle and them getting out of Miami is real. When bama georgia Texas or USC target a local kid from their respective states or area it's important that they get those kids and it's NOT a good thing if they lose that kid. However you are right we are not going to get every kid from SFLA for a number of reasons but that doesn't mean we don't with passion persistence and prejudice go after these kids nor minimize the importance of it. As you said in the 80s it was the best kept secret now that the secret is out it's that much more important to work to keep these kids home. I think thats all anyone is saying maybe even that includes sileo but hey who ever knows what's going to set that timebomb/IED off. Secondly my friend calm down in spite of the misses I think the class we have will do some nice things and the local guys that we did get truly WANT to be Canes and they're good kids that hopefully produce well and ultimately if a kid does that I doubt seriously anyone will meltdown over where he's from (save sileo).
