By the time the last depth chart comes out before our opener, Tracy Howard will be one of the starting CBs.

The kid is just special.

IMO it will be Howard and McGee.

IMO(first time I used that acronym) our starters will be Howard n Gunter. Finnie at the nickel, Brandon McGee off da bench.

Good question. I think Gunter will be a starter and the other corner position will be between McGee, Finnie, Howard, and Crawford. I don't believe it's a slam dunk that Tracy will start at the other corner. Everyone that is reporting early will have an advantage on Tracy. Gunter has played JC and has great measurables. I don't have much hope in McGee but he knows he's going to have to bring it this year so I believe he will be a bit more focused and driven being this is his last year. In order for Coach D to run the Defense like he wants to, the players have to be able to catch on to all the different schemes and I think that's where Finnie will have a leg up on the new comers. I've also heard good things about Davis and Dortch as well so this should be an interesting spring and fall camp. I also which Kacy Rodgers would go back to corner as well. Great size for a corner. Just my two cents....

All make good analysis but let's look at it this way do u really expect Howard to come in an dominate right off the bat, I for one think he's capable but it would take time, look at some of the past hurricanes like clinton Portis, antrelle rolle, Sean Taylor , warren sapp, ray lewis, not many players walk in an dominate as a pure freshman the only player I remember who from day 1, was Rusty medaris an he had his career cut short due to injury.

I believe Gunter an Brandon will start off starting an Tracy will get increased playing time by game 5 an finne will play a lot.

It was 2 months ago when I made my statement. Obviously I didn't know that Gunter would pan out as good as he has. In saying that, I still feel like THoward will end up somewhere on the field for the majority of games. Whether that is at nickel or one of the corners, I don't know. I understand he is a true freshman but I think he is the best recruit we've signed in a LONG time. I think he is Patrick Johnson good. This is definitely a good problem to have, especially if McGee steps his game up. Our secondary should be very solid come next season.
