5-7 touches?? Based on that theory he has no business being drafted.

Wow, Lamar gets no respect on here.

So 7 touches doesn't warrant being drafted? Good to know.....

Golden is better then Jimbo is. I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there. -fsufsu

Okay, you're right, he's got 1st round talent too. That's all I've been trying to say

Anyone who would argue differently is foolish. Elite speed, nice size, underrated strength...

His draft stock fell bc of past injuries & the fact that his overall body of work is limited.

Okay, you're right, he's got 1st round talent too. That's all I've been trying to say, I just don't understand why Miller gets hated on so much. He was our best back in 2010 and 2011, its unfortunate he had a shoulder issue, but hopefully the surgery has repaired it and has a great year.

but there are probably 100+ guys every year that have first round talent in one area or another: speed, size, durability, strength, agility, hands, football IQ, character, leadership, etc. you need to look at the entire picture and take everything into account...Miller definitely has first round speed but everything else is about 3rd rd talent, so could someone have taken him in the first round? yes but the entire picture points to that being way too risky. im just saying that when you take everything into account, which you always should, hes about a late 2nd/3rd rounder if you want to balance out the risk/reward.

100% agree. Let's not forget that these teams are investing millions of dollars into the players, and everything, absolutely EVERYTHING, will be looked at with a microscope, just as every investment should. I love what Lamar did for us last year, but as an NFL team you worry when he gets tackled easily at the college level. If you really think he's 1st round caliber, do you think he could go helmet to helmet with the likes of an elite vet LB?
