Call this a surprise, a shocker or whatever, but TE Richard Gordon was drafted in the sixth round by the Oakland Raiders, the second 'Cane heading to Oakland.

Seriously. WTF is wrong with Al Davis? Does he think if he takes all these workout warriors he will end up with a decent football team!? Another draft, another draft I remember why I find Al Davis so fucking annoying.

Year in & year out Oakland is the worst drafting team in the universe. Last year big Al must have been ill last year because they had a decent draft.

I'm not suprised. He's an NFL caliber athlete. Getting drafted is one thing making the team is another.

He may be a good enough athlete but there is just no reason to draft him. You can easily pick him up as a free agent for cheap. I don't get this at all. He never displayed any promise at UM, much less any glimpses of success. That said, he was a Cane during the Shannon era, so we should all probably expect to see him in the Pro Bowl next year. Just teach him how to watch film.
