One thing about Miami-once you get it inside you-it's a major part of the rest of your life. I have been a CANE since 79 & I couldn't even imagine CFB without them. And these local kid's that grow up around Miami-they know about the great teams but really wasn't old enough to see them or even around for that matter. But we have had a dry spell as far as being a force but, we are coming back with a force & every year these locals will start to look at & dream about playing for Miami like it once was. These other schools have had success down here recently but with every year passing now-more & more you can just see it turning back & in another year or so-every major talent in Miami will want to become a CANE again. A lot of schools when you finish up-they don't really stay in touch any more but that's not the case here. When you are a part of this team-you are family for life & it's just the best fraternity in CFB. I really hope in the end AG is able to keep these few major targets we are on at home because with every big pick up from Miami-that's just 1 more future star a young kid will wanna be like. I wanna be Duke or I wanna be Thomas{hopefully}. So that's important for our future, to keep these high profile kid's here & once the winning championships start again-we are gonna be loaded yr in yr out again with Miami talent. It's the best in the country !!!!

McGee is praising Golden because Golden finally let em in tha game. Shannon started both Sam Shields & DVD over McGee & both guys are ballin in the NFL. You're right Realnard, NUTHIN TO CONTEST.

Definitely agree.... Great article players just telling it like it is!!! The future is really looking brighter and brighter with Coach Golden leading the ship...

Today's kids was too young to remember the 80's and 90's even the early 2000 Hurricanes... So right now in order for Golden to get the best in S. Florida and anywhere else Miami has to win year in and year out... Trust me kids will go to Coral Gables long as they see championship banners getting rised!!!

Players are buying into Coach Golden and his system, 2013 will be a very successful season for the baby Canes...

Hard to argue that we are NOT close to putting it all together on the field -- next year will tell the story -- will the U step up to the plate, or will we strike out in the batters box -- again !

We have talent, and the pipeline to more and more talent is improving each year under AG -- as is conditioning & strength levels.

Now AG must make the hard decisions every Chief Executive makes in leading his team -- "need solutions -- no more excuses -- find solutions !" i.e. if the schemes don't work with the talent, find one that will & just get it done.

Are u serious he was a freshman they were on the way jr and sr he shouldnt have been able to but lets not pretend that DVD was everr good he was serviceable and i would take Mcgee as a sr over either of them as a sr
