  • What's his heart measurement? We need the right attitude as well as physical measurements.

I see a couple typo's on your post. You have 4.94 and 4.97 for his 40 times. you can't be serious. Let's see a race between RL3 and vince wilfork.

  • but with all this being said, do you really expect to AG to burn a bridge with Ray Lewis? An all time great and 100% supporter of the program and its growth? I know you guys will say that he should know his son isn't good enough or whatever. but throw him a bone cuz Ray lewis is a big reason why half the kids commit in the first place. Just him being around the school effects recruits because they know he's there, and that he comes to practices, games, talks to players, gives them advice. The speeches, his persona, everything he does for the university. You can't expect AG to shoot him down or potentially create some bad blood there.

I think the number is 4.7 which is still bad for a RB.

  • This is his measurables at the Jan 6th Army Combine event, so when you see his TOS profile of 5'10 and 192 they are way off and do not even do basic fact checking. The 40 times as you know can vary any day of the week, he claims to me a 4.5 and I beleive he is not lying but that is probably a 4.5 hand time which is more like a 4.7ish laser time they use at the combine event.

  • He was invited to the Army Combine? That in itself says that he is regarded favorably.
4.7-4.9 40 times? That just means that he is faster than his dad is right now.
I'll say it again: He's Ray Lewis' son.
We take him for that stat alone.

    rudebuddha

  • Ill take him just for being Ray Lewis son. Besides that point in all honesty most HS kids dont run 4.5 thats elite speed in HS lets be serious i train and i have trained plenty HS FB players they arent that fast and im talking d1 talent. These kids get much faster after actually get to college and building muscle and training for explosion. Their are not many 4.5 and even fewer 4.4 guys in HS. So give the kid a break he will get faster and will be fine

  • Actually a resting BP of a 120/80 for a an adolescent athlete maybe a little high. Blood pressure and heart size don't always correlate in the physical sense much less the metaphorical sense.

  • It was Laser Timed and the ENTIRE FIELD ran SUPER SLOW times. check out the results there are tons of Skill position guys that ran over 5.0 forty times. He is Enrolling early and should be our only EE cause we only have room for 1, not sure but I think so. If Olsen commits who knows what we do. BTW his dad was exactly 5'9 and 180 as a HS junior as well, the kid is still growing.

That is the biggest problem on this board. The people here are mostly young guys that have heard or read about the good old days, but weren't around to see the real story. Ray SR was only about 205lbs when he got to Miami and wasn't really highly recruited. Most of the great players that everyone likes to harp on, weren't very highly recruited coming to Miami. But what they were was coachable and they had heart and stayed around for 4 to 5 years, which built a tradition.

Tuck I watched the 1991 Houston game...man we set standards as a college team; wide 9 technique, rotaing lineman, zone coverage. We had Krein, Maderas, Ceasar, Sapp (young), Patrick, Lopez, Hamllet...every game it was a sack fest, do you think all of those guys were 5*'s, hell no! Toretta didn't have a cannon arm, Thomas was 170 (Pookie skinny), I wonder what this board would be saying about Thomas or Toretta during their recruitment.

Kids are way further developed physically in this day & age then when Ray was coming up.

That is such a cop out. Bottom line this kid will most likely end up about 5'10-5'11, 200lbs plus and if he's running in the 4.6 range, that's not bad for a safety. And we know he will have the heart!

That couldn't be further from the truth. Look up the average NFL starting offensive line from 20 years ago. It MIGHT be equivalent to a high school o-line these days size wise. Could possibly be smaller than some.

I'll give him 5'9 200 lbs... IF the kid can play, his size won't hold him back. That's a big IF though.
