  • Just don't get these kid's these day's, I mean their word or so called commitment means nothing in today's CFB. Very rarely now days do you have an early commit see it all the way out & try to help recruiting instead of always having this "I'm looking at this school". Duke was a rare comadedy in commits & with all that hit Miami, that kid stayed true & always tried to help the class & team with how a commit should. I have proposed that the NCAA should have a rule that if a player commits & then decomits, he should not be allowed to recommit til NSD. Kearse flipped from Aub to us then flipped from us to Clemson & that may not even stick. I get real sick of thes kid's thinking they have the upper hand when they should be grateful they had an offer from Miami & if you say those words commit then, "U" stick it out & get it in your head you are a CANE. Just pisses me right off when we are trying to build our team back with positives & then guy's who can help really makes it look worse on Miami with every decomit but, I know AG will pull us 1 & maybe 1 even better. I say get on Green out of VA & don't get off him til NSD. !!

  • I think most of us were expecting this move. Ultimately, you have to tip the hat to the young man for stepping back from the commitment (instead of doing some hat trick slap in the face). He is a young man that probably just pulled the trigger a bit early. While I hope Collins ends up here, I don't think he would be a good fit if his mind and heart are elsewhere.

    Maybe I have my canes goggles on but I actually respect this a lot. Ppl complain cause he seemed like a soft commit so he is taking a neutral stance to take all his visits then decide. He did our staff a favor by not stringing us along till NSD then flipping. We can now recruit other RB and still work on him. It's not over. I think shows he is more muture than most kids who just play the recruiting game. He is trying to be honest with our staff. You have to respect that.

  • I'm just hoping he flips to Wisconsin and not FSU.

    Losing a commit like this to an in-state and conference rival goes beyond just losing a RB commit, it's about the message that it sends.

  • im not mad that collins looked around or even that he left now because if we get best o lineman we will be able to find a stud rb just look at lsu and bama they grow 1000 yard rushers on trees its that he called his shot i mean wisconsin has a teammate of his a 3 star cb and hes been saying for months now that he can get collins and now i hear FSU saying that franklin will get a shot at qb over a senior with experience and the #1 qb recruit from last year...... yeah thats all for collins i hate that recruits think this is like a negotiation you havent done anything in college its a privlage not a right if he thinks its his right and that he can call his shot the gtfo

    Not sure who or where you are hearing that Franklin will get a shot at QB at FSU but that is false... he is going to be looked at to play either WR or DB... not QB...
