Agreed. One way or the other the best man will win the job. But I would rather have a player like Williams who is smarter with the ball than Morris who rifles it in there where he can get it. And the argument could be made that Williams has done more than Morris and with less. Williams was at Memphis and started 12 games if I'm not mistaken. No one on that team was very good so them winning 3 games shouldn't be on him. BUT Morris has had buckets of talent around him, whether they cared or not, and didn't show me THAT much more than Williams has. Again I hope Williams wins the job so we have a cerebral type of QB under center. But if Morris wins... Morris wins.

Let's let this play out. Part of Golden's genius as a coach is creating competition at all positions. Have the players push each other to be better, then if anybody is injured it's next man in without a big dropoff in skill level. So I'm guessing that every year AG will open up competition at QB without naming a definitive starter. That said, I'm guessing that by end of summer we will have a clear winner at QB. Williams has looked pretty good this spring! But Morris appears to have more of a rocket for an arm. Let the best man win. I'm just happy that we have a more than one possible option.

It doesn't matter who starts, I bet if he throws 3 picks in 1 game we'll all be calling for the back up!

Morris has had five starts over two years. Williams had ten starts as a freshman at Memphis in 2010. He had to sit out last year because of NCAA transfer rules.

The major thing that we found out this spring is that we have two good and experienced QBs for the coming season. Let's let them battle it out on the field during camp this summer. May the best man win.
