Relax guys asking bout Tracy, there are no freshman listed other than the EE's...he will work his way up. Deon is only listed because of Ray Ray's dismissal

Love Bush at FS. I think that is his natural position.
I also love that he is up to 190 lbs. All that work put in coming to UM after school to workout has helped.
Darius Smith at 315 lbs? Holy cow!

Really hope he stays healthy. The kid is freaking ripped up this year.

Agreed.
If we have to start Kelvin Cain this year at DE, then our DL is in trouble IMO.

Some observations I have made....
1.) Am I the only one kinda disappointed in our TE roster? Each of the players on the roster has had their moments, but none have ever shown consistency. Who knows, maybe they will surprise us and really improve. But the TE is a position that I worry about...
2.) RB is another position that kinda worries me. James and Clements are decent backs, don't get me wrong. But I don't see either really making a large impact on this offense. I don't see any single running back on this program breaking 700 or 800 yards.
3.) I'm actually pleased with the LB corps. I don't think it will really shine out in the defense, but I don't see it as a weakness. I'm pleased with Perryman and Buchanon and hopefully Gaines can learn to shed a block and be better than last year.
4.) Can't wait for this young WR corps! The current depth chart isn't special or anything, but when you throw the freshman in there, I can't wait to see this group perform.
5.) Quarterback will not be as much as a liability as it has been in the past years.
6.) Secondary scares me. We don't have a dominant DL and we don't have a dominant secondary. Mcgee, Kacy, Gunter, etc. do not excite me very much. If Howard is in there it will help, but I don't see the secondary being much better. I am scared of opposing QB's this year....
7.) Special teams should be strong this year. I like Dorsett has a returner and I think we have a good P/K combo in Botts and Wieclaw. Also this past year I was impressed with Miami's kickoff/punt coverage.

I agree with snider... I'm not a big fan of Gaines... Sure he wears orange and green so I'll always root for him... But dude couldn't tackle a 1st grader last year. Kindergarten... Maybe. Point is... I don't think he should be starting... But I gotta believe that this is purely a preseason depth chart. But who knows? Maybe he will end up a stud after putting in the work. But I'd personally like to see Raph get a shot there....

I rather see Tyriq McCord or Raphael Kirby play that outside backer next to perryman & buchanan. Or even Giovanni Paul.
