I could be very wrong since I do not follow baseball really, but I think they did away with the aluminum bats a couple years ago.

That statement no longer holds true. The bats were negated two years ago through BBCOR technology. Look at the stats. The new bats now closely mirror wood. High School switched this year. Balls that traveled 400 ft. 2 years ago, would travel 375 ft. with the same pitch, speed and location.
ESPN's Sports Science did a pretty extensive piece on this A WHILE AGO. Keep up.

College < PBA Bowling???? Really, so what exactly don't you like about the college game? The atmosphere? The passion, energy, and effort they play with?
You must absolutely hate MLB then. AND you've clearly never been to an ACC/SEC/Big 12/or Pac 12 game in person. If you happened to be subjected to Big 10 baseball, I say maybe you have a point. They are always way behind in quality/brand of baseball played due to starting late because of weather.
I would say you were a quart low on formaldehyde if you attended a typical UM/FSU or UF/LSU or Texas/Rice game and weren't thoroughly impressed.

Even with the old aluminum bats it's way more exciting than 90% of MLB games, and I'm a baseball junkie that follows all levels very closely.
