i wonder if al golden is gonna address this soon..........i bet the "experts" are gonna eat this up

    This is embarrassing.

  • Wow.....now, we see why our defense underperformed. No strength and size up front. I thought Ojomo would be stronger and bigger than he is listed.

Robinson, Smith, and Ojomo are smaller than I thought. I am dissapointed that Benjamin at 175lbs can bench more than half our starting defense.

I hope he puts even more emphasis on weight lifting

  • Still waiting on the L drill and 40 times

    Realnard86

  • Nathan Gholston: a 5'6 188lbs DB out benched the starting LBs, DEs and most of the DTs by himself with 18 reps

  • MAN we were weak. They said Gunn was the strongest guy we had, and he didn't get to 30. We now have 7 guys that go 30+.

And it really is sad that none (or almost none) of the guys who went to the combine are participating. The egos are frustrating as heck.....

That's why we were getting pushed around last year. That reflects poorly on the players and....The Coaching Staff!

  • I'm so glad these kids are gone. Except Spence.

This years team is already 100x stronger then these guys were. No wonder we got bullied in the trenches last season.

This seasons team will be so much more impressive, physically.

  • New to the site long time fan. I agree this is ridiculous these guys act like they actually have done anything. There is no way you dont participate when you have all these top tier guys at other schools participating in there respective pro days. Either they are dumb as S*** or Rosenhaus is giving them the worst advice you could possibly give. I was upset to see these guys go initially now i am relieved they just arent like the old CANES.

    welcome to the site!!!
I don't think Drew would've advised them not to participate because of this sequence: the later they get drafted the less money they get; the less they get equals less Money for Drew. Lord knows he loves the money. Benjamin is the biggest disappoint though. He didn't even weigh in! Sheesh. I wish them well but I'm glad their gone. The underclassmen mainly

    Realnard86

  • You guys have to go a little easier.
1st off, most of the top tier guys only perform if they were unhappy with their combine results.
Look at Alabama's pro day, the top guys only did position drills.

2nd, what can guys like Miller and Benjamin do to improve their draft stock?
Those two already are the fastest running back and wide receiver in the draft.
I'm pretty sure Spence and Vernon will run their 40's again.

The pro day is really for the guys not invited to the combine. The Byrd's, Futch's and Chambers et al who need to show their stuff or for combine guys who didn't get the numbers they were looking for.

    rudebuddha

  • Byrd with a 4.46 40, Lee Chambers with a 4.41.
Looks like those two just made themselves some money today.

    rudebuddha

  • after all of these results, compared to the work the team put in during the offseason in the weight room gets me all the more excited to see the change in the locker room and on the field. dont get me wrong, i'm gonna cheer my ass off for these guys as soon as they get into the league like i always do smoke

Maybe Miles Levine was our team rep/attorney:D

That is inappropriate and offensive to some I am sure and doesn't need to be on this board. I never ever post but this compelled me to post. We don't need ignorant and prejudice posters on this board or in our fan base.

The kid Levine (I have never heard of him either) is out there working hard and puts up bigger numbers then some of our big name guys and you are gonna bash him like that? You are shameful.

    Idk

But it won't matter for him. He is a freak in the weight room and on the field.

  • Vernon helped himself by running a 4.68. I still think he should've done more though

A heck lot better than his 4.8 at the combine.

His scouting reports says he generally runs in the 4.50 range which isn't elite speed but he has elite talent. I hope that surgery doesn't hinder him too much. RBs with knee problems is a perfect concoction for disaster.

This is why its so hard to cheer for these guys. Yeah they went to the u but they used it selfishly more than anything and were mostly empty jerseys while they were here until they could jump ship. The least they could have done was show some class and respect for what the u did for them...instead they are showing no character and representing the u poorly

You got it absolutely right. These guys for the most part were selfish and unwilling to put in the work. hence when they had the option to come back and put in the work they chose to instead take the money and run. Good riddance to all of them. None of them impressed me at the combine. NONE of them. I thought Streeter would do it big at the combine and he fell flat on his face as far as Im concerned. Shoot. He plain quit on one ball that was thrown to him. I mean, really? You're gonna quit.... at the combine... Then not only are you going to not perform at the combine, you're not going to even attempt to perform at the pro day... yeah. GTFO good riddance to all of them. I wish them luck. But I will not miss their attitude.

  • Futch ran a 4.89 (4.9). M. Robinson ran a 4.85. The heck? I thought our boys were way faster than that.
