New UM Coaching Staffs

  • Here at Miami we see 2 new coaching staffs, football and basketball... And from the looks of things it has been some real good hires, a lot of people not paying attention to the basketball team but they have been putting it together of late winning against Duke and Maryland in conference play... And Coach L. had to start off the season short handed with R. Johnson and D. Jones not playing but everyone is back and things have picked up for them... And like AG, Coach L. has been putting together a real solid recruiting class for 2012... Im really loving what I see taking place at UM, and it's only going to get better for the U... Just like AG did at Temple rebuilding that program, Coach L. did the same type of thing at George Mason and his knowledge is starting to pay off on his team... GOOD LUCK, 2 COACH L....

  • You've got to mention Kirby Hocutt in a post like this. Also the bit of black and white, good and evil he left UM with when he left. Two great hires so far but he didn't make mention to Golden about Nevin Shapiro. Black eye for sure but coach G and L are doing it.

    I'm pretty sure Eichorst is responsible for the Coach L hire

    Hocutt did not hire Coach L.

  • It doesn't matter to me who hired them, because at the time they were hot coaches... Someone was going to hire them, if Miami would have passed.. I'm giving the coach credit for their doing, look at both sports they were in a serious hole before these coaches came in... Now we have them, and we are starting to see some positive from the football and basketball programs... The main difference I see in both coaches are, the last few years for both sports teams would've layed down in some big games and NOW you see teams playing to the end and never giving in to the opponent... And that alone, says a lot about what type of coaches we have here!!! BRIGHT FUTURES FOR UM...
