I'm confused. Who is this being directed to?

I definately love my green and orange( this is the only team that gives me chills when they play).... I just don't understand sometimes how people can say how much they love the U, but when things don't go the way they expect it to go they are on here talking crazy... Some people make me wonder sometimes about their love of the U!!! But it's a free country everyone is entitled to their own opinion, FEAR THE GOLDEN TIE!!!!

I understand how frustrated some fans can be. They are fickle. There are a few old sayings to remember.

1. "Fair Weather Fans": They are with you only when you win. Then it's how much you win by. They can't spell "loyal." When tough times come, they are gone. They are not worth much.

2. "Nothing is thicker than blood." Only students, faculty, alumni and a very small number of hard core fans have orange blood. The rest are "fair weather fans."

Disagreeing and having your opinions are OK, if you can keep it constructive. Personal attacks are a sign of "no class." Stay humble. Stay kind with your words. With all that said, remember that this is all supposed to be FUN! Relax, chill out, and enjoy UM football during all times.

I have been wanting to vent like this for a while! I have been a fan since 1986 and have seen the good times and bad. I keep trying to get people to understand that this is just a phase and we will recover. Last time we went through this people were saying we should drop football and we would never be on top again, but by the end of the 90's we were back again! We will be back on top and the bandwagon riders will return.

Wat was it like back then? Tell me about the bad times n how it compares to now?

They wanted to destroy Miami, SI, wrote a magazine to destroy Miami, they wanted to outcast us, their was an out cry to hurt us.

It was bad! Like shark said, we lost to East Carolina, our record breaking home win streak was broken, FSU was beating us year after year, and we were facing probation. The one plus is that we didn't have the 24hr news like we have now, so the fans back then tended to be more true. I live in Tampa, so it was hard to get information about the "U", except for bad news. Like when SI was saying we should drop our program and all the thug U crap. I just realized in the last 5-10 years that most of those guys graduated and how much better Miami is in education then other state schools. Our streak of having first round picks was snapped and the kids we were getting just seemed over matched.

Then you have to remember that Miami was a one of a kind program and people had never seen anything like us! When we started to fall, people were saying that we would never see this team dominate like that again. Guess what, we did and broke more records and dominated again!

If what u said held even an ounce of truth your intended audience wouldn't be able to read it because they've been gone for ten years...

This is new for me, because I'm 26 yrs old... I always knew UM to be on top but the last 4 years have been different but I still love my Canes... I know we will rise again, so it's just a matter of time it will happen... I'm just one of those fans who believe it will happen sooner than later!!!!
