Gotta agree with everyone so far..Jethro's recruiting track record, albeit short, is not impressive...Haven't landed one stud yet. I don't think I take him off the two top DT's down here, but certainly would give him some help. We need Clark AND Moten BOTH. No excuses...this is a position of extraordinary need for us and has been for the past 3 years. We can't allow the top targets to get away (Bryant and Bostwick). This is Franklin's litmus test year. Do not be surprised if he finds himself coaching Middle Tn., State if we do not bring in BOTH these kids, and our DT's improve dramatically.

I have 0.000007% faith in Jethro's recruiting abilities or coaching abilities, Golden needed to fire him like yesterday, he couldn't recruit in LA and he can't recruit in Miami..that's when you know you suck

Last class there was Bostwick, Bryant, Bain, Senat, Hooks, Johnson, Brooks, Calloway, etc.. and 2012 we could name tons of guys like Goldman, Phillips, James, Powell, etc...
Not saying Jethro was on all those guys but ultimately it's his posistion / his responsibility.

Jethro really isnt the true issue now i wont go through all of them because not all the guys are just as simple as Jethros fault but this damn scheme is bad so it makes it harder on him now i agree he isnt much of a recruiter but Hooks, Brooks, Bain and Johnson all looked promising until some other factor screwed us but he does get stud DE's so it isnt all on him

Who is assigned generally gets your foot in the door... getting pen to paper usually involves the position coach. The only reason we lost Bostwick was bc Bryant Young won him over.

Agree. Jake Gaither, ledgendary FAMU coach always said that to be a top notch Densive Lineman, one had to be AGILE, MOBILE & HOSTILE. Exactly, i knew this once i saw top dts show big interest but either visited and then cooled on us or wanted to visit but then abruptly stopped when Jethro was recruiting so i knew it wasnt him but it hd to be the scheme what else could turn them off?
