Mandatory knee braces for all lineman

  • For the Life of me I do not know why this is not a requirement. Bill Parcells did this and many other NFL teams have instituted this. There are many studies that PROVES this reduced injuries and a brace by no means compromises performance. Some teams require them for practice and allow players to wear what they want for games. I think we need this policy, Staff could we ever pose this question to the coaching/equipment staff and see if they would consider this. I honestly can't see why they would oppose it. I understand they are expensive (approx $1,500) for each lineman but CFB is a big business now and even a small private school can afford this cost.

  • I totally feel you on this one, I don't understand the sentiment of wearing them in practice but not games. You practice how you play. But in the long run I think it would absolutely help our guys to wear them all the time. Especially seantrel. That dude is absolutely second to none, but if you get hurt and can't stay on the field you're not gonna get anywhere. Truth good sir... Truth.

Better for the school to pay that rather than for a new acl and rehab...the cost of that would probably buy the whole line braces.
