Looking at our commits and possible gets, I have to say:

  • Al Golden is doing a monster job. So far, with 8 commits the quality of these payers is beyond what I imagined he would land in year 1. He is working toward that old Canes way of landing a roster fill of 4 star guys who have the eye of the tiger and want to be something special.

    Also, very impressed with his position on the transfer issues.

    Can't wait to see the Canes begin to compete. Win or lose, this is a team and a coach that we can grow with.
    Thanks to all the coaches who are showing a unparalleled level of commitment, excitement and professional dedication.

    Damn, the future looks golden.

  • Just goes to show how the new staff is dedicated and fired up to be apart of the Hurricane organization. The previous regime sat on their thumbs and expected for the blue chip athletes to commit to us with really recruiting them. The guys they go after also have a hunger and a desire to play for the U because it is the U and not a school where they are guaranteed to start as Freshmen. This staff has also cracked down on the laziness, selfishness, and the off field issues that some players exhibit. We may not win every game, but we will be fighting until the clock hits 0:00 in the 4th. Go Canes!!

  • i cant wait for the season to start. I have been excited ever since the one reporter asked golden why miami and why now and his response was "are you kidding me?" Do i think we can go undefeated? yes. Will we? I don't think this year. But I see a vast improvement with somewhere around 10 wins. With his intensity,attention to detail and holding people responsible for their actions, along with what appears to be some good recruiting happening everything is looking up for the "U".
