Tampa Plant LB Andrew Beck, OL Ray Raulerson pick up offers from UCF

Tampa Plant coach Robert Weiner likes to line out a structure for his players when it comes to recruiting, with the first step providing players a chance to go out and visit schools to get a feel for the campus and the facilities.

This week, two of Plant’s top 2014 recruits, linebacker Andrew Beck and lineman Ray Raulerson, decided to make the drive up to UCF, and both left with offers.

Beck is a 6-3, 240-pound middle linebacker who has tremendous athleticism, running a 4.56 40-yard dash at a recent combine, Weiner said. He led Plant in tackles this season with 124. Raulerson, a 6-5, 275-pound lineman can move and has great flexibility, two things coaches often look for now along the offensive line.

Beck, who has offers from USF, Boston College, Kentucky, Miami and SMU, visited UCF on Friday. He comes from a military background, and Weiner said Beck brings a unique skill set to the Mike position.
