After bouncing back from a fractured right ankle in fall camp, Raphael Kirby played the final seven games in a reserve role. Now, Kirby is looking to be the starting middle linebacker.

Maybe after watching Fig in practice and in the weight room, it made the coaching staffs decision a lil easier to part ways with EJ, hard but a lil easier! Damn and he said we don't have any selfish guys here. Hmmm

“A lot of the guys now we have are head on straight and we all want to be great,” Kirby said. “We don’t have any selfish guys. Everybody is helping everybody out. A lot of the times the older guys are helping the younger guys. Nobody is selfish and everybody wants to be successful.” Now this is the attitude and culture Golden is trying to establish. It's a lot easier said than done, but Golden will keep bring in the right type of players that fit his values and ideals.

Denzel on the outside, Kirby in the middle, only question mark is who will be on the other side. Fig looks great, 6'3 230. Also devante Bond is an animal can't wait till he shows up

The tune for spring this year is totally different this year. Last year the players were more about learning the playbook, getting stronger, and just seemed like they were trying to make it. This year I sense more confidence with our players and a sense of overall knowledge of the playbook.

Figs is lean at 231 (only a freshman) and has room to grow and is one hard worker in the conditioning program.

Our D is gonna be bad to the bone this year. Even if they improve to 50th in overall defense that's twice as good as last year and with our Offense being even stronger this year we should not lose those N Carolina and Virginia type games. Sept 7 th will show where we are as a competitive team as well as where we should be to compete for titles.

I say anywhere from 60th-80th, but it'll be decent enough to contend for a conference championship. Its a process of gradual improvement, we'll be top 25 in 2yrs with better maturity, talent, and famaliarity with the system

I thought he was in classes?!?!?! I guess he is gone wow, I hope he can change things and some how get back on the field. He is talented and young this sucks.
