That might be just enough time for one pass to reach its intended target...

Kid was a class act, handled himself with dignity and was constantly ridiculed and berated.

Lets not forget 3 coordinators in 4 years

What does that have to do with arm strength? And 90% of the players on his teams were classy and full of dignity so I don't know why everyone singles him out to defend all the time...hes the qb and they always get the blame unless they get the credit. And he was in the "heisman" talk his first year under whip and many believe his best season was this year..system issues werent his problems

    Miami_Smoke75019

  • I wish him well... He must put on some serious weight and bulk up, but overall I think he can make it... His career at UM was up and down if he had a more stable coaching staff, I really believe we could have seen a really good QB(which results in more wins).... Good Luck JH, the Cane Nation is pulling for You!!!

  • another site has jacory as one of the qb's shooting up NFL draft boards.

This is what they said about him:

    "Jacory Harris

I like to refer to Jacory Harris as a poorman's Robert Griffin. However, that's really not giving him enough credit for the kind of the player that he is and has the potential to be. His athleticism alone has enabled him to rapidly climb the draft boards after a somewhat shaky season in Miami. Although he's rated the 23rd highest qb out of 127 entering the draft this year, NFL scouts see a lot of potential in such an already supremely talented young man. As he continues to mature Harris will continue to improve his simple mechanics and learn how to run an NFL offense. Could definitely be a star in the years to come."

  • This is what happens when you have the wrong people in charge calling the shots... Nothing but talent coming in but nothing to show for it NOTHING!!! Randy Shannon doesn't desire another job as a Head Coach, oh no!!! Not just JH, but just think about all the talented players we had under RS and all of them have underachieving college careers and time the NFL combine come they are in talks to be moving up the draft board... Once again good luck to all the Canes coming out!!! (just piss me off thinking about it, SORRY)

  • Said Harris: “It’s perfectly fine (throwing to defenders). Because just like everybody else is trying to get an opportunity to go into the NFL, I want to help them. So I am going to throw perfect passes to them so they can have the opportunity to practice their skills

Its an uncalled-for shot on him. Spin it however you want, we all know arm strength was a weak point but hes graduated now so let him be.

Then let him go...stop starting threads about him at the combine when hes supposedly the 25th best QB in the draft. there MIGHT be 8-10 drafted overall so lets stop acting like hes something he isnt. I absolutely want to put him in the rearview becasue its been a long 4 years waiting for a new beginning.

Did I start this thread? Acting like something he's not? everyone is simply just wishing him the best of luck....the kid is a Cane through and through... wishing all the guys there the best of luck

Im letting this go after this but I have to respond to this...I was only talking about the offensive system. How is it the systems fault when he threw for 3342 yds in 2009 with 24 and 17 and completed 60 % of his passes in his first year under Whipple and we win 9 games, then this year they simplify the offense for him this year and he throws for 2486 yds with 20 and 9 and competed 65% of his passes and we win 6 games with a 1200 yd rusher, a top 20 defense and an 800 and 600 yd receiver. bottom line is everyone likes to point the finger at Whipple and Shannon for HArris' failures but they succeeded with him more than Fisch did this year. yes he helped decrease his mistakes, but at the expense of points and offensive production. its plainly obvious that his production goes down along with his mistakes, he cant maintain his perfomance while keeping the mistakes down. we scored 26.5 pts per game this year and 30.3 under Whipple. if wescore 4 more points a game this year, how many more games do we win?? probably 10+

In all honesty though, I do wish him luck but football is not in his future in my opinion...and comparing him to RG3 is straight up blasphemy. RG3 had more TD's than incompletions in half his games

  • Top 20 defense? Give me a break. Our defense got better as the season went along, but we couldn't keep opposing offenses off the field.

I think Jacory's numbers would've been more gaudy if we ran a quick fire offense. Offensive pace made the defense appear statistically good.

What # QB he is is anyone's guess, However there is an avg of 12 QB's drafted each year. Pundits has Russell Wilson as the 10th best QB, I watched a lot of college FB that kid is no worse then the 3rd best QB coming out. NFL guys are too strict on HT/WT requirements Wisconsin's line is as big as any NFL line. That said even if this draft has 15 QB's in it do you think any of the teams the top 15 QB's commanded last year would trade thier qb for Jacory?

We were 17 in scoring defense...its called a fact and can be verified by a little research
