It was rumored before he signed here that he was better suited for the DL... IMO If the kid couldn't sniff PT at DL with the lack of depth there then he needed to do something else.

FWIW I hated when they moved Lewis over to OL... but he did pretty well there last season.

As was noted in another thread about this topic, I just went to the U of M's athletic website, clicked on Football and then on Roster...Jacoby is indeed listed as an OG with # 68
The U and The Strip - life doesn't get much better than this! P.S. - I will always stand with The []_[]

The kid was only a freshman! Most DT's take 2-3 years to develop. I just feel this was a lil quick.

Just saw that .. Not saying much for the kid when they move you like that.. If he was killing it or showing signs of being a player on the DL they wouldn't of moved him..
Got to bring in atleast 2-3 DL this year..

Some kids just aren't meant for Defense... It's a mentality more than anything else. It does seem a little early but if that's the case then it's probably pretty obvious. Have to trust AG.

but OL? if he wasn't good at DT then i dont know how he ever plays. OL loaded,.

An ideal rotation is 10 guys.. I definitely think he can contribute some before he leaves.

there was talk about his work ethic well before he was recruited. supposedly why he wasnt a 5 star

This is also why coaches get fired! Either the evauation was wrong or the development was poor. We'll see how it plays out, but I just don't subscribe to ANYTHING just because somebody said so!

That's who went through my head when I heard about this. I don't think Dye's year was wasted last year though.. I understand what you are saying but I think developing players is one of AG's biggest strengths. As of now, the staff can't want it for the kid... That's ultimately up to JB. Hopefully he contributes somewhere.
