Friday Stock Report: 3/8

Spring is a very exciting time of year and very busy. There’s spring football practices, March Madness, baseball, and a number of recruiting camps and combines. So that gives me plenty to discuss in this week’s edition of the Friday Stock Report.

  • Wow... I would love to know who that nameless WR... That attitude is bullsh*t and the reason it's gonna be that much harder to reach the top again... I feel like it's been quite a while that we've been recruiting these kids that feel entitled bc they have offers and stars next to their names... I'm just generalizing and by no means is this the case with everyone, but there just hasn't been that hunger for a while... I see it coming back some now with these Golden classes, but if you are ok with doing "pretty well" than go to FSU, UF, or some other school bc down here what made us great was workin' our butts off... It's all about this theu

  • Yeah i wonder who was the jerk that said that! Should've named him to let the coaches and his teammates know that he thunks he's a bad ass who doesn't need additional training!

  • I hope larranaga changes his mine about Daniels, Afamily illness can change a persons perspective especially during the first year of college. Bishop definitely has some jets. Him in Shane would be the quickest and fastest backcourt in the NCAA.

  • Great article, Chris!

Always have loved the stock reports.

  • Man I am appalled by that type of response! Chris send me your bank account number and I'll stick a couple of hundred in there for you if you name this clown. There is not ONE receiver that did not drop a pass this season. There is not ONE receiver that is elite. There is not ONE receiver that like Chris said is sure fire 1st round. Man this is the culture that is keeping the team back. Maybe any kid that is either being recruited or is a Cane should be required to see this...

Chris tell that chump to watch this and maybe he will have a clue. I am so saddened that this attitude is still present on this team.

  • Nothing new about about the best putting in the extra work. Not a thing. Any recruits or players reading this take notice; no player has ever been to the next level and succeeded without going above and beyond. You want to make it to the next level and make retirement money WORK. Work harder than the next man. Work when you don't want to work. Work when there is fun to be had. Everybody playing with you is an athlete, work makes you an elite athlete.

  • Great article Stock. I think it's the best I've read from u since I signed up. This article reminds me of Barry Jacson Florida sports buzz. Hopes that's not an insult to u. Finally love the idea of following the NE offense. Would be crazy exciting!!! Only difference is we have Duke and Belichick doesn't!!! Lol

Great work! Surprised u didn't mention Hankersons work with Duper...he had one of the best WR seasons in recent memory afterwards! Hard work n dedication

Exactly my point. Extra work. NFL caliber WR.

  • Hard to believe with the recent mediocrity we still have guys happy with 7-5 and dropped passes...then again not hard to believe. Hopefully this comes out in the wash and others with both the talent and work ethic pass this individual on the depth chart (and in production).

  • In the words of Ray Lewis: if you're not pissed off for greatness, that means you're okay with being mediocre.

The team will never reach the level they want to get to with attitudes like that. You don't win championships by being pretty good, you win championships by taking it personally and getting pissed off when you're not the best at something.

Honestly, Alabama has won 3 of the last 4, you think their guys are over there not putting in extra hours in b/c they are pretty good? No, they know that if they want to see the field they better work harder than their teammates and subsequently their opponents.

It's what the culture used to be at Miami. It hasn't been that way for awhile, but Golden is trying to restore it. Sounds like they're still not there yet.

Alabama gets to cheat in the WIDE-OPEN by purchasing players then have them drink bull urine for that extra advantage. How can ANYONE compete with that!!!??
