  • the athletic budget has nothing to do with the academic budget. the athletic dept is self sustaining and actually donates millions to academic side even though they dont have to. Yes the gators suck, and no they shouldnt cut the CISE program, but it wasnt an either or. one was not cut for the other

    Yup, that mark they referenced in the article is a budget number for the Athletic Department.

    The revenues and monies raised by the Athletic Department surely exceed that budget number.

    So in a sense the Athletic Department is basically spending money that it earned the year before.

    In addition to that, the Athletic Department gives money to the school.

    The guy who wrote this article is a probably a winkyhead.
