^^^^^^ laughable.Historically the Tide has always had the blueprint, nothing to see here.
Tide were garbage before Saban....GTFOH
I would rather have a cristobal who's coached in the sec, under saban, at a championship caliber program over the present cristobal. Will recruiting against him be Hell? Sure. Is there a big risk he doesn't become the heir to the golden throne? Sure. But if he does... You bet your ass it will be a homerun hire and despite how you think you'd feel at the moment, we'd be ecstatic to have him.
Treehugger gtfoh and the tide woulda never played or beaten Miami in either hay day. What blueprint is it anyway?
Let him say this...his dumbass coach at Bama brags about getting up to a 75 percent graduation rate. That means one in 4 don't graduate from Alabama...Alabama. That man does not care about the kids...never has. Ask his former players at LSU, MSU, and even Alabama that did not go to the NFL or even Dolphins players. Cuban won't fly so good in Alabama....have fun Mario!
Coaches come coaches go, and we r still the "U". We changed the game, nothing less. The pipe laid the blue print for all the rest to follow. Bama nor any other team never thought for a second about coming into the inner city recruiting are kids, until the saw what they could do. So take that crap and gtfoh.
1992.... just saying Bama wasn't suppose to be in that game with Miami that year... and I lost big money betting on UM....
Hmmmmmm are you totally sure about this statement
Yea I thought about that
Miami was way more talented....Bama just wanted it more and had the better game plan.... UM players were in shock I recall, just stunned on how well prepared Bama was for that game
There was 3 nc games where are swag was to great. Lol we tripped over it. 86' penn st, 92' bama, 03' OSU.
Lol.. Yes I'm sooooo butthurt over a TE coach we had for all of 6 weeks leaving... after signing day.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
meh, BS reasoning in my opinion.
Tell me what Mario is going to gain from Saban that will make him a better coach. maybe that he needs to go to a program with no academic recruiting restrictions?
Its simply to put "i worked at Bama" on his resume, to distract his next employer from seeing that there are other qualified candidates.
Carter and sometimes Bill Baskin
Hope he rots in one of our nation's truly deplorable armpits. Didnt want him back after he stabbed us in the back by going to FIU and happy he is gone now.
He has shown his true colors twice. Hope we never see him again.
You seriously don't think he has anything to gain learning under saban..
1. What is this talk about hiring Golden's "replacement."
You made a thread about him.Its Obvious.
D'onofrio is just a pawn. This is Al Golden's team and Al's defense. Al's the clown. Dorito's just the floppy shoes.
I made a thread pointing out the irony of him costing himself a future chance at the HC job at Miami. Definitely means I'm "butthurt".
Our TE's will never be the same now.
Not THAT much more than he would under AG. Last time I checked Saban wasn't good enough for the NFL.. He's no Jimmy.
He only meant the way the game was played, you're an idiot if you don't think the landscape wasn't completely changed after Miami's run in the 80's to 2001.
The SEC has always been a hardnosed type of football conference, but let's face it, a lot of things were copied from the hurricanes and that included playing with speed and brashness.
What if he comes to bama, recruits the hell out of OL players, puts 3-6 guys first round in the league, and then is offered the Miami HC position?
There's truth to it, Bama was bad under Shula.
What about Stallings and the other coaches who won titles at Bama it isn't like Bama just now became a team winning titles... they do have 9-14 depending who you believe
Professionally, on paper the move makes a lot of sense for Mario; I do think he can learn under Saban who is clearly the best HC in CFB. But the timing is what bothers me and so many Canes; Al was the first to call him when he was unemployed. The Miami Herald is reporting that Miami is extremely miffed that Mario left so quickly after Golden and the AD hammered out a significant role and budget for Mario. He burnt his bridge with his alma mater; this was totally different than Coley who left FSU after few years of wanting to be OC but Jimbo continually saying no. Herald reporting that it's hard to imagine UM ever welcoming Mario back. He and Saban now have in common that the last thing they did before leaving Miami was to lie. Integrity still matters to a FEW people but defenitely not to Mario and Saban. It's all good; just when it seems a dynasty can NEVER end; they do. It's an uncertain world and a million things can go wrong and derail the Bama juggernaut. Miami ought to know. Mario's playing the odds again just as he did when he said no to PITT and Rutgers only to flop and get fired... Time will tell if the choice to lie and leave will pay off.
