AGAIN....lol at this thread
Crushed??? How bout this....
Jimmy Johnson to THE U... How crushed would we be then??
Yes but the sanctions were not part of his deal in Miami. He can leave. People quit their jobs all the time. The people from UT wouldn't be coming to speak to him if it wasn't possible
...........Even sponge knows its about the U
He's a few months away from turning 70.. He's semi-retired & living the dream. Not a chance.
IF this happened, we need to put the full-court press on Tubs.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Yup! Think about it; Schnelly landed a loaded class...could he have landed that class in any other state at that time, NO! Osborne goes for two instead of one (and the NC). Once he cracked the code, all follow on coaches just needed to use the blue print. Now fast forward 30 years, yes there is still sick talent in Miami, the problem is, the landscape has changed, those same Miami kids, get to see other schools via ESPN and many other sports channels. Other programs are far more progressive, why, they listen to the kids. Outside of BAMA, and USC who still holds onto their heritage as far as uniforms (PennSt just put names on the Jerseys, players choice). The kids will be swooned to these other "fun" schools, that are in mega conferences and on tv every five seconds. Cam, Teabow, Ingram and now Manzell (the media is just giving it to him! BAMA had a back in it last year) all SEC guys...FML, not only have they had a strangle hold on NC's, now Heismans?
Miami get with it!
I love JJ, but he is a fire-cracker, he might get burnt out fast!
AL GOLDEN was right
everyone down here thinks we are inferior just because of some facilities
Jimmy Johnson says hi
Cool Story Bro
?? Don't get it..
I know right what "facilities" does UT have that are so great they are a doormate in the SEC
A new facility is not going to win a title. Coaching and hard work do. They may look nice, but it will not be playing on Saturdays.
Dan Lebatard: So, coach are you gonna be here next year?
Al Golden: Absolutely, yes sir
(just now on the radio).................againnnnnnnnnn LOL at this thread

Very insecure fan base, I'd hate to see how y'all act with y'all girlfriends
ACC doormat < SEC doormat
"Dont leave me.....ok leave me I actually suck"
Just talk. People do and say different things all the time exhibit A: nick saban with the dolphins
Golden went on Radio with LeBatard
and said he will be back at the University of Miami next year and confirmed it.
you can either take Golden's words
or Luther Campbell's.
choice is yours
University of Miami Class of 2013
Mr. "Don't stop-get it-get it", is grabbing at straws. I was just looking at the big picture. I don't think he will leave, I can see why...
I wish he would've asked him why tennessee is coming to see him tomorrow.
Fwiw I don't either.
Jimmy was proven at that point and had won gone to 2 NC and won 1....AL still has some work to do...
you have some trust issues....Lebatard phrased it like "Do you promise coach, that you will be back next year?"
and AG didnt even hesitate....
and the Dolphins blow...who wouldnt want out of that hell hole
it is part of the game. he wants to stay and be paid more... leverage is on his side by listening to anybody, as it requires UMiami to increase his salary. just like any other interview process when you want your current employer to make it worth your while to stay.
if you listen to agolden's interviews over the yrs, you understand the time and energy invested in this program. tenn is just a job. a coach that succeeds at miami can become legendary from the publicity that follows...win and the $$ begin to multiply.
Maybe so lol
