Imagine if we had a stadium on campus
Public or Private has nothing to do with Sony's recruitment, in case you didn't know Sony goes to a private school now.
Imagine if all the people...
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
I believe he is talking about other students... There would be no better party school in the country or anywhere with hotter women.
Yep. State school $$ = stadium , 3x as many students = it's full. Every blue chip would want Miami.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
name a strong academic state school with a rich football history that is located in a major city (has to have at least ONE of the big 4 professional sports team)
in fact, go ahead and name a strong academic state school located in a major city.
not that many out there.
University of Miami Class of 2013
Miami has 10-15,000 students that pay 30-40k per year in tuition. Miami is not a poor school. There is no money advantage at state schools.
...........Even sponge knows its about the U
Why do people think this... Because he had a great freshman year? I remember seantrel was going to be the 1 overall pick too after three years. Duke is an amazing college player no doubt...but to think a 5'9 185 lb rb is going to go early in the draft is ridiculous, the nfl and college are very different. He would need to put on at least 25 more lbs, which he possibly has time for, and prove he could keep his speed and agility as well as be durable. His career is far from a certainty so lets put the cart back behind the horse and just focus on possible all acc instead of 2015 1st rounder.
Duke is getting close to 200 pounds now. A five foot nine 200 pound guy is as filled out as a six foot 215 pound or maybe even heavier guy. Duke at 200 is an NFL player.
I always thought dannyboycane was a 13 year old delusional little kid.
Can't believe he is a grown man.
If that's the case you should be able to name an nfl rb that is 5'9 200. How about an every down back? How about one that was good enough to leave college early or drafted in the first 2 rounds?
State schools have 40k paying 20k a year plus tax money bro.
That's a cool story but it wasn't the point.
and everybody used to get brown envelopes filled with cash, ahh those were the days
Oh it will be nothing like ever, I'm not coming to ITU for a month
Tuition at FSU is 7k. Tuition at miami is 20k Not including room and board.

Chris Johnson 5'10 or 11 and 190 pounds. Jamal Charles is probably smaller than Duke. Duke is a RB and if he is smart he leaves after 3 years.
D'onofrio is just a pawn. This is Al Golden's team and Al's defense. Al's the clown. Dorito's just the floppy shoes.
That's the average undergrad tuition at FSU. UF football alone made 120 mill last year, Miami football isnt anywhere close to that. Miami makes only makes money off tuition, donations and whatever sports brings in(which is less than what UF and FSU sports revenue is)
True, but the investment from UF into football is also substantially higher. It just does not have to do with being a private school. UM has plenty of money to pump into the program. I do not know why they don't contribute more considering what a gold mine they are sitting on
No disagreement. I was just saying if you took Miami's location and added a on campus stadium that was full kids would flock to Miami.
Ah, we'll get there pop... We'll get there.
They're both 5'11 and have world class speed. Johnson also stayed all 4 years and needed to break the combine 40 record to get into the 1st round, Charles was a 3rd rounder. I'm not saying duke can't or won't but let's let him play his sophomore season before we guarantee he's good enough to leave early. I also can't seem to get it out of my head that in our worst losses and against the best teams, duke was shut down and was a complete non-factor
