States that he will be back for his jr year!!! I know most of us expect a down season next year but with him staying blue chippers have reason to come here besides coach L. Come on Laranaga go get a couple of big men. We need them next year.
Uhhhhh..... Where was Shane thinking of going? It certainly isn't the NBA. Don't get me wrong. I love the guy. His PG play is great. However, the NBA is a TOTALLY different game and he is not suited for it. Maybe a second round guy at best after his senior year.
I think he has what it takes to play in the NBA but not now. I'm happy because sometimes players that have great college seasons makes them think they're ready for the league. Don't have to tell you all the players that have declared early and stunk!! Him staying hopefully gets us great recruits that want to come and play with him.
I think Shane stays until after his senior year and becomes a late first round pick for a good team and develops into a pretty good PG even though undersized. He already has nba 3 range and he's already a top 5 quickest pg in the league . If he continues to build on his driving abilities and brings his good court vision to be great he will be good in the league. He has to stop being scared to split the double and drive to the hoop and either dish it or score from there.
Agree with most of this.
I wouldn't say he isn't suited for the NBA.. but 2nd round sounds about right.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
I think a lot of people will be surprised next year, A lot of guys are gaining valuable experience guys like Rion Brown, Tonje Jekiri and we have Garius Adams coming back next year and a pretty good class coming in.
I mean lets look at it Tonje 7-0 227
Garius Adams 6-6 195
Erik Swoope 6-6 233
Raphel Akiperjiri 6-10 236
Yeh, I probably shouldn't have said not suited for the NBA. I'm just being stingy and not wanting him to leave for another two years. I can't be like that. It would be another Cane in the NBA and we need to get more.
Exactly he can play, look at Lawson at Denver same height and explosiveness.
Larkin playing for 4 years will make him a general on the court so he can do big things potentially in the league
Well said you can't have enough years in college basketball to gain experience before you head to the nba.
Watch ya know about dem Miami Boyzzz!!!
Nooo... Sorry to disagree because I love Larkin too... But as far as explosiveness, Shane ain't close to Lawson... Lawson is waaay stronger too...

Some of you guys might think I'm crazy but he reminds me of a young Chris Paul. I think Shane will be a lot better than you think. He already has a good jump shot. Great defensively. All he needs to work on now is getting his teammates more involved. Oh yeah he is extremely fast. I mean what else does he need? Don't give me height. There are plenty of small gaurds in the nba now.
In that case he's a very poor man's Chris Paul... I mean Chris Paul, you can say, is a future HOFer and the best PG in the NBA for the last 5-8 years... His vision is far an away the best... I think Shane will play NBA ball but he's still not as explosive as CP3, Lawson, etc... CP3 has dunked on Dwight Howard!! I think we shouldn't really compare, but if he works hard he can become a quality NBA player IMO...
