Arkansas: TCU linebackers coach Randy Shannon is leaving TCU. He has been offered the linebackers job at Arkansas...but he has other offers as well. Sources tell us they expect him to land at Arkansas.
smh so beilima is trying to get a little south florida all star staff huh
He's trying to invade South Fla, Adrian look who he is lining up to help him.
Wait till Collins signs with Arkansas - that would be something.
"England expects that every man will do his duty."

Arkansas ain't doing sh*t in S.Florida, they will always be Arkansas so stop playing.
And I pity Randy Shannon, the mf can't even land a DC job.
I wish Arkansas would focus more on Texas than Florida. I don't understand why they wanna concentrate on S Florida.

I don't even think this deserves to be news
What did I say that was out of line ?
lol you're kidding right? Florida produces the top talent year in and year out. Amari Cooper, Duke Johnson, C.J. Spiller, Sammy Watkins, Geno Smith, Aaron Murray, Teddy Bridgewater, Ace Sanders, just to name a few.
I'm not dissing on Florida. I'm talking about the distance. Arkansas has never had success recruiting Florida.
Fair enough, but I would be willing that what you get from Florida is more than worth the distance. As far as Shannon goes, he will not be able to recruit very well in S. Fla. He burned a ton of bridges with some of the best high schools in the area and in the state.
This coach is really putting together a staff that has some S. Florida background... BUT RS has a blackeye with a lot of hs in the state of Florida, so maybe that might work against them trying to recruit in this state...
Shannon will probably help recruit the Dallas area.
LULZ at that article on Randy on the Arkansas site.
- Great Coach.
- Florida recruiting ties.
- his players have always been prepared and played with intensity and desire.
How awkward would it be for Randy to visit Tampa and Miami High Schools after ignoring them all those years.
Good luck to you Mr. Randy Shannon. Once a Cane, always a Cane. #GoCanes
Yeah im offically letting my Randy Shannon hate go he was a bad coach but we chose to hire him and he did the best he could so wishing him the best
I am not hating on RS. I thought he did a good job keeping players out of trouble, but failed to win or progress.
Using his Twitter account, former Miami running back Mike James responded to Shannon's hiring.
"They have themselves a great man!!!" James wrote.
RS is a defensive guy... Look at the defenses here under him, I think if you give him the talent he can work them up and make them a good group of guys... Miami was the right head coaching gig for him, maybe he should have started somewhere smaller maybe like FIU... Everyone expected change right away and he just didn't get it done... RS worried more about the players off th field then on the field, he didn't have that toughness with him... But wish him well, you never know after a few years he might be back here as DC with position coaches like Ed Reed and Ray Lewis!!!
RS is a good defensive position coach not a head coach so i guess they should be happy
I never understand that whole defensive coach HC argument. Last time I checked a dc is a coach and a HC just hires ppl to implement his philosophies. So I guess what I'm saying is his title changed but not his philosophies. His coordinators/coaches failed him and the program but the HC gets the blame as usual.
