Sorry if this was asked already.
This years team has 79 players under ships. So that is 6 less than the max of 85. If the sanctions says 3 years probation with 5 ships a year, can we count this year as 1 year since we are already palying without 6 scholarships players?
if yes, then if we win at duke next week. That would be 3 years of no bowls and 1 year of ship done with.
Please let me know.
*2 years of no bowl
if we win at duke and win the division, doesn't that championship game count as a post season ban?
Then the regular bowl would mean 2 post season bans this year.
It's all lumped into the post season ban so we get credit for 2 not 3.
Your observation about scholarships is interesting. I don't think we pre defined a limitation this year, we just lost kids through attrition. I would be surprised if the NCAA will consider that similarly to taking a post season ban.

No, it would be two post season bans...its not measured in games
thanks for the answering the question about the post season ban. I was not sure.
We should self-impose 5 scholarships per year for 3 years. Add the 2 self-imposed bowl bans and what else could the NCAA possibly ask for?
