For those of you that are arguing that Cristobal going to Alabama was a no-brainer due to the opportunity to work under Saban I offer you this; point out to me this illustrious coaching tree. For all of Saban's achievements, his coaching tree leaves more than a lot to be desired. Jimbo Fisher, Will Muschamp, and Mike Dantonio? Excuse me if I not impressed. We had two assistants get jobs in the NFL, Alabama had an assistant go to FSU. BS reasoning for the move IMO.
just to add to that. nfl scout made the comment that alabama talent isn't all that great.
for those who disagree, name all the alabama nfl studs (pro bowlers - i'll give you jjones bc of rwhite on the other side), considering they won 3 of 4 champs, hasn't translated to the nfl.
same scout said it was a great process that keeps getting it done. goes to show that nicky satan can continue to rotate coaches and keep his program rolling.
one coach is in year 4 as a HC and the other in year 3, a little early to judge just yet... as for Mike I agree... time will tell...

The part that people are arguing is the opportunity to land a head coaching gig, not the success afterwards.
Plus some coaches are curious to see what it takes to get to that level, and what not better place to get an inside look.
I don't like him jumping ship so fast, but I can understand why he would want to.

Saban coaching tree sucks and so does the Bill Belichick coaching tree all of their "Apprentices" are complete epic failures and are better at being bridesmaids than brides
Teams that constantly win are constantly poached for coaches regardless of their perceived abilities that's a fact. You just named 3 coaches who landed top tier jobs, Who was the last UM coodinator or position coach to land a top25 gig as a HC?
Brick by Brick
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us,"
If you win, you get offered jobs...bottom line
Belichick is a god....deal with it
Miami coaches don't get lucrative job offers? We just had 3 assistants take major steps up after coaching a 7-6 team. Imagine if we were an elite team.
