Honestly I think Thomas chooses where he wants to send the next 3-5 years the same way he would 5 days ago. If Kirkland was my friend and I knew I was attending Miami I would ask him DUDE why didnt you just commit and probably make fun of him and call him 5 different type of names.
Thomas will pick whats best for him & I honestly dont think this will play any part of the decision.. This teammate playing together thing is CUTE but you will have 84 other guys on the team you select you can have the same bond with in college.
One scenario we all hope for chris
ALL ABOUT THE U
I think Thomas has already told coaches that he isn't coming to Miami. Just my opinion

The attitude of the Real U.
This whole situation is blown out of proportion. Kirkland doesnt have a scholarship because he hasn't signed a LOI just like the rest of the kids. Between the time Al spoke to him and Barrow spoke to him the staff figured out something and chose to go in a different direction. UF just pulled a kid's offer last week and the reaction was not crazy at all. One kid dont make or break a class but the bigger picture is we need to get more HOMETOWN kids period
I agree, i can't believe peeps are pissed about this. If you think we lose a pipeline school because we pulled an offer that's crazy talk. Kids will come to the U when we start winning, doesn't matter who is coaching at some high school. Simmer down everyone.
Exactly...I find it hard to believe we would pull his offer just by him merely not committing before NSD. Thomas, Grace, and a host of other kids arent committed and as far as we know still have offers. I would venture on to say if Barrow did that, he blackmailed the kid. Its stff we dont even know about thats going on but our fans are mad over 1 kid bc he has alot of stars by his name? Some of our fans be tripped out man...
For example....see USC and lane kiffin....six 5 star recruits...7-5 season and recruiting flaws with pulling scholarships.
This. I think the coaches always thought Kirkland and Thomas was a package deal. Thomas told them he wants to get out of Miami, so they gave Kirkland one more shot to commit.
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us." - Al Golden
How do u figure this? Don't u think Ice Harris woulda been involved with this too? Just think there are no reports stating such and as far as we know Thomas is a Miami lean with FSU right there.
Please elaborate your opinion.
These assumptions are ####ing ridiculous. We've only heard one side of the story because the coaches can't speak to the media about recruiting. That's how it's going to stay. Unless you're close with the situation, and I mean "behind closed doors" close, you're just going to drive yourself crazy with these stupid and meaningless assumptions.
Do you really think Golden is dumb enough to pull Kirklands offer if Thomas told Golden he was coming to Miami knowing that the 2 are tied to the hip?
Golden had his in home with Thomas last night if I'm not mistaken. He probably asked him where he was leaning towards and he probably told him FSU. Thomas wasn't as big as a cane lock as some seemed to think. There were rumors coming out that he wanted to leave the area for school.
CANES -I still say we land MT- Bottom line is-when you get a call from the HC- You are done with your OV's & you can't give him an idea where we stand with you, as much work that has put in on you to make you a CANE then-This is just what has to do.
Why would you keep pursuing a kid this close to NSD when you are targeting others right here at the end that gives you a lot better feeling where they are with you & can help the team just as much. I think it was a good decision on AG's part & it will send a strong message that needed to be sent.
Basically-the S.FL kid's were getting or are getting offer's-they are being recruited as hard if not harder by the HC & Staff & you can't give him an idea but instead choose playing the game well-This is what will happen in big time CFB today.
Recruiting has become a cut throat biz out there & if you have given the kid ample time & have exhausted plenty of time in him & he still has you hanging this close to NSD-Well-AG has an obligation to the CANES-Not to 1 kid & this is how it will be done here now & the way it should be done. This is gonna send a strong message to future kid's that while AG is the chief & he gives you an opp to play for traditionally 1 of the best colleges in the last 30 years well-you better take it serious & get on board. There are gonna be a lot of kid's after this season that want to be CANES-100% CANES & AG WILL "NOT" be put or let the situation turn like this. I expect we will get a lot more early commits this coming class & more solid too, not just flaky commit;s-kids that are all about da "U" & the way it should be around here.
This brand has been built on excellence & AG is getting it back to that & if he offers-It means he wants you & if you play him well all I can say is-Play with CAUTION !!!
CANE 4 LIFE & BEYOND !! I BLEED ORANGE & LIVE GREEN !!!!
If the oline was a position of need AG and UM would still be on DK hard. But they need DT more and if spots are limited and you have a DT in the fold then sometimes someone gets left out. Thomas will make a decision for himself as I doubt DK sways his decision
This is ridiculous. Dk didn't have the grades simple as that. This really has no bearing on anything.
I never heard the 2 were joined at the hip just by the playing on the same team...clearly u just making stuff up and it is ur opinion but ur wrong. Thomas is the must get Kirkland not so much. U guys are ridiculous if u think he would pull the kids offer out of spite for not getting his main target.
Think about it like this guys..if the reason why DK got his offer revoked was because they didnt get the feeling he was on board, then why would MT still have a committable offer if he told UM he was going the FSU..? I don't even think they end up at the same school, I'll even go as far as they MAY not even play in the same state!
Thomas and Kirkland said from the beginning that there was a 75% chance that they go to the same college.
And I never said they pulled Kirklands offer just because Thomas said no. I said they gave him one more chance to commit and he didn't. So they pulled it. Therefore opening up 2 spots. I highly doubt Golden pulls Kirks offer if Thomas is coming to Miami. Thomas and Kirkland are both Noles. Sucks. But it's likely gonna happen.
I hope I'm wrong on the Thomas to FSU. Fwiw. I would gladly eat crow. But it just doesn't look good for us. We'll see. Either way I'm not gonna freak out.
Who did USC pull a scholarship from?
not sure if they pulled his offer but told a kid who was to enroll early that the EE spots were full and he would have to wait
The EE who got shafted because of the McQuay III EEing

His offer is still there.. They just couldn't get him in early because a senior didn't graduate in December. They just asked him to sign with the rest of the class. Then his hs coach, who is a UCLA fan made a big deal about it to the media.. and that's how all you guys found out
