I haven't heard Les shoot down any rumors regarding Arkansas offer...this would likely make Jimbo a top3 candidate to replace him....what are the chances both of these moves happen? Considering the exodus of several FSU coaches being rumored it certainly sounds plausible.

chances both these moves happen??? Less than 1%
i wouldn't think Les would take the Arkansas job but he hasn't shot down the idea so it makes me wonder....I do think Jimbo is on a sinking ship and would jump at a chance to go back to LSU.
FSU is anything but a sinking ship.
I honestly think FSU fans would feel relieved if Jimbo left. He is a great recruiter but has proven to be a average coach.
FSU would bring in a great coach most likely if Jimbo left.

Year 3 and has won 29 games... far from average.... possible 12-2 this year and no FSU wasnt going to win nor play for a title this year...
He isn't elite but he isn't average... he has tried to do way too much, and is realizing that and making changes... Bringing in an OC will benefit him a lot...
In a very weak ACC, 11-1 should have been easy this year. He proves every year to lose a game that just makes you scratch your head. He has a butt load of talent on that roster. I know you and Nova are probably the most critical on your team out of the Noles, but with the schedule you guys had and the talent you guys have, 11-1 should have been a lock with a very good chance at 12-0. You guys were FAR MORE talented than every one you played except maybe UF. That falls on coaching. Him trying to do too much is a part of why he isn't a great coach. I'd maybe say Jimbo is a above average coach. But not close to elite or even very good. A lot of coaches could have easily went 11-1 with your roster this year.
His job is constantly questioned...multiple coaches are rumored to be leaving....and he consistenly has underdeveloped top talent. Two top5 preseason rankings completely squandered. His only saving grace is the weakness of the ACC and his schedule. Two years in a row he has blown his season to a completely inferior team (wake last year and nc state this year)
I would say the FSU ship is definitely taking on water....all those defensive lineman aren't helping your bouyancy lmao.
Yes the ACC is weak but you have to factor in that Jimbo is still learning to be a HC.... at a major university .... and considering how bad FSU was merely 4 years ago I say he isn't average...
And yes we have a boat load of talent but we also have a QB that makes me scratch my head way more than Jimbo does... the oline coming into the season was untested albeit talented still an unproven commodity.... What Jimbo had done is improve the talent level and has the team learning to win again... .... my issue with most people is the fact they assume any coach should be winning or competing for titles in year 3 of being a HC... Fisher wanted to call plays and didn't trust anyone else to, he has now understand he can't so both, he is learning and making the changes that good coaches make...
Huh...... Jimbo I rumored but that is it just rumors... he just said Monday he is happy and had unfinished business here... and FSU is losing Stoops and possibly Coley... Hudson most likely isn't returning... that is 3 from the staff leaving... He plans on hiring a OC as well... FSU is far from a sinking ship... and yes FSU has lost to weaker teams... as a matter of fact FSU has been losing to then even with Bobby as HC... again year 3 as being the head man in charge and people are ready to call him a fraud or a failure...
and in 2013 noles start over with a new qb which = growing pains...
Muschamp seemed to learn the ropes of being a HC pretty quick. 11-1 with tons of questions on offense for them in a much tougher conference.
It's not so much the 3 years thing....it's the weakness of the ACC and the cupcake scheduling . He literally had a red carpet laid out for him for two years and blew it. I mean the guy spent time behind Les Miles and Bobby B but still needed 3 years to figure out what it takes to be HC? You think he wouldv'e taken notes.
No doubt and that angers MANY FSU fans including myself... Won't dispute that one bit...

I like Jimbo and think he CAN be a great coach. But right now, he isn't close IMO. The guy is a stud recruiter.
Like I said, if Jimbo did leave, FSU fans shouldn't be mad. They would bring in a great coach.
Just reported that Les Miles is staying at LSU
Depends on who FSU can afford...
everybody who thought les was leaving is gullible it was all a ploy to get more money he was never close to leaving
Growing pains yes.... but the oline comes back, the RBs are back minus Thompson and Pryor... the WR are back minus Smith...
UF going 11-1 is remarkable but not the norm.... that is the difference
Learning from them is one thing but actually doing it is another story... you guys seen to assume it is an easy thing to win games... especially being a new HC... the schedule was easy but still the fact remains this team has had to learn how to win.... again a chance at 12-2 is doing something right....
UF could easily be a 4 loss team.... the ball bounced their way in some games this year....
I agree with you on this point...look at what happened to Randy Shannon...he certainly was here long enough to take notes about what he should/needed to do as a HC...but obviously that didn't translate into action or results...and I agree that Jimbo is doing something right...him losing those 2 games (last year and this year) is really no different than Frank Beamer losing the games that VT has lost the past several years (James Madison...really?).
Hell UM has lost games we shouldn't have so we're not ones to talk on that point...to me, it's more about the inconsistency that FSU has shown over the years than the games they blew but should have won...their offense has been too inconsistent...won't blame that all on EJ Manuel though...a lot comes down to the coaches and play calling...and that's on Jimbo...but you're right, if he's finally realized that hiring an OC would be better, than hat's off to him for making the move...I wonder if it will be too late if Stoops leaves...pendulum swings to having a good offense but now the defense falls back...???
The U and The Strip - life doesn't get much better than this! P.S. - I will always stand with The _
My best guess is that EJ has peaked and is a finished product... maybe the play calling was limited to EJ game... at times he can be very good and other times just horrible... EJ has always been accurate but inconsistent which is frustrating... his biggest issue to me is not knowing when to just cut your loses and throw the ball away...
