15 lost scholarships over 3 year period (5 per)
No more bowl bans; Time served
7 years probation (repeat offender)
More recruiting restrictions (like the ones already in place)
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
the purveyors of all things homasex will probably hit us with an additional bowl ban and 30 over 3
That would definitely be worst case scenario for me. I wouldn't put it past them.
I believe this is a political game that we are dancing with. When we go in front of the board and plead our case they will not hit us so hard at all. Everyone saves face this way and it went through its due process. lol here goes the process word again. Time serve with a four year probation. We thank Randy for putting a stop to this before it became worse. Everyone shakes hands and then turn around and curse eachother under their tongues and we skate away.
it's honestly what I'm expecting
all of the shenanigans that have recently come to light prove to me just how badly they want to nail Miami to the cross
i could totally see them ignoring every seedy thing that they have done and move on full speed ahead
Just think of it this way, we will appeal... Sue their pants off & have stadium funding.
I agree... and the reduction of scholarships would become 10 over 2 years since basically they took less this year, also think 3-5 years of probation...
If any school ever tries to sue the NCAA (representatives of other schools) they would have their membership revoked (it is a club, schools aren't entitled to be inside of it)
5 would be my minimum... I know 7 is unheard of but with our history and the fact that they can't screw us elsewhere, I think they will stretch it to the max. 10 year wouldn't shock me.
18 over 3 years.
No more bowl bans.
5 years of probation.
Wouldn't be surprised to see much worse or much less. I'm still honestly clueless on what we get. And it's especially hard to guess with war going on between Shalala and Emmert. Boise St. got LOIC and only got 9 over 3 years. But it is Boise St. Lol
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us." - Al Golden
10 years would be a kick to the balls....
Excuse me but what is probation?
...........Even sponge knows its about the U
That's bogus. First without no schools there is no NCAA. I'm sure they sign agreements saying they won't sue the NCAA but lets not forget they allow them to be the governing body and all it takes is a few schools to take a stand and expose them for what they are. The PSU case and ours is unprecedented bc they went against their own policies both times.
Basically they have a NCAA member watching the program for rule violations. If probation is broken rules are 5x worse.
If you don't aim to cheat they have no impact on a program.
Ask James Wilder Jr.
How would I contact him?
I wouldn't ask him cause obviously he doesn't know what it is
Wrong....PSU is suing the NCAA as we speak.
Brick by Brick
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us,"
wrong... the state of pennsylvania is
Correct... However what he was saying is completely inaccurate. Alabama sued (and won) the NCAA in the 90's. They can't kick you out... If they tried, that school would own them.
"Well done" is better than "Well said." - Ben Franklin
"At its most basic, the NCAA is a voluntary membership organization. To put it more bluntly, the NCAA is a club. As a club, it has the power to let in the types of organizations it likes. More importantly, it has the power to kick schools out of the club:"
A Alabama booster sued the NCAA.
Over a issue like this a school will not sue. They have to follow the terms and conditions of being a member. Trying to force legal action against a entity that isn't legally bound to do anything for you wouldn't work.
The lawsuit by Pennsylvania's governor is a farce, solely created for publicity and votes for the oncoming election. It has literally no chance at all of doing anything.
I dont know what you all are talking about. I will accept nothing. We have been punished and dragged along long enough. Nothing more!
