ND will never join a conference... The playoff system is developed to incorporate their independent status.
The fourth team is somewhat of a mystery - maybe Va Tech though.

First off, what makes you think that the $50 million fee want hold up? What teams have you seen leave a conference and not pay the fine? Especially after just signing this new deal within the last two years! A judge will tell them point blank, you shouldn't have signed! Second no conference will spend between $100-$200 million just to make snow birds happy!!! Lastly, conferences have been helping teams out of contracts because schools don't have that type money, but they have been having to pay half at least and if they are having throuble with $4-5 million, how the hell are they going to come up with $25 million!!!
In all fairness it was some idiot named Tuxedo Yoda and The Dude not from FSU's board stating all of this inside info garbage.
as of 10 seconds ago, gatech sites aren't reporting anything. nice bluff...
SwoNole, its true but ND is only getting 6mil for the NC this year. Conference affiliates get 23 mil. That may affect their decision making in the future.

NO credible sources or media outlets are reporting a thing about Ga. Tech leaving or having the chance to go to the B1G.
Yeah I know, but FSU fans ran with it and added their own BS!
lol Fair enough my friend. They did. I still want to know if the two posters have any credibility and integrity left and if they are even posters anymore. They looked completely stupid when things went the exact opposite of their "inside info" last year. LMAO!!
I'll stand by my comments... Wheels should turn within the next 7-10 days...
I'm not sure why the "U" fans are in such a state of denial about this... Clown me "OK", but I foresee Miami leaving with FSU...
Ga Tech has an offer on the table - that much I know.
I am not clowning you. It makes one a bit skeptical after last years debacle with back door deals , offers, and agreements by FSU, Clemson, and ND to the BIG 12. Do you have direct knowledge or are you involved with this Ga. Tech to the B1G process? Please provide a link or source.
How about I'm just a knowledgeable fan...
Not involved with the process lol...
No link or source - it just makes sense; if Ga Tech leaves, we can pretty much kiss the ACC goodbye, no?
Especially - if the Big 12 renegotiated its TV deal with Fox and ESPN for close to 30-40 in TV revenue not even counting Tier 3 rights... (deal done today)
Fair enough. I guess we will see how this plays out, but I will say I am fearful on how the college landscape is unfolding concerning sports. So many rivalries and games will be ruined not to mention fans are not going to travel further distances for conference games like they can now. That goes for all teams, not just ACC schools. Obviously the facts shall present themselves fairly soon.
If we're looking at strictly football - I don't see distance as that big of a factor IF Clemson, FSU, Miami and let's say NCSU move to the Big 12...
I can be to most of the NC schools within 3-3.5 hours, 3.5 to Blacksburg, 5.5 to Charlottesville, 2.5 to Atl, and 45min to Clemson making all of them easy to get to. None of the Big 12 schools are easy to get to. Some of the match ups would be great to see i.e. Tex/Mia, OK/Mia, and even TCU/Mia, but not worth me dropping a ton of money to go see.
Let me get this right. No proof! No site, and Not an insider. We're just supposed to take your word that you know what you're talking about? Child Please!!! (In my Chad Johnson voice) this foolishness made No sense last year and even less this year!!! We just raided the Big East, just to turn right around and let 3-4 teams leave?! How does this make any sense? All teams and conferences have up and down years and we're on the end of a down time. FSU and Miami are the flagships of the ACC and we're both really close to being back on top!
Teams are trying to cut cost and traveling out to Texes two to three times a year, again makes NO SENSE!!!
Which is great... Like I said; let's say that Miami, FSU, Clemson, NCSU, and Pitt head to the Big 12:
So two, maybe three of those games are at home
Home / Away for all four
Big 12 will split the home / away - at most, I can see the east coast teams traveling TWICE to a place like Texas, Oklahoma, or Kansas - twice. I don't think that is a stretch at all.

Good bye now lets trade them for Penn State!
Ok G Tech leaves and goes to the Big10 is that really an upgrade? Hell if the ACC decided to add Cincy then it would actually be another upgrade cause G tech basketball has been irrelevant since? The football program started out hot but D Coordinators found the scheme to stop the option so the football team is just as irrelevant.
From an institution standpoint - Cincy is not an upgrade over Ga Tech, which factors into conference alignment.
