MIAMI -- Former University of Miami standout and current NFL Pro Bowl Linebacker Jon Beason of the Carolina Panthers is “steaking out” at Texas de Brazil on Thursday, March 14th. Beason will host a Carnival-Style Celebration at the Brazilian Churrascaria, with proceeds benefiting his non-profit charity, Jon Beason’s MLB (Making Lives Better) Foundation.
Guests will mingle with Beason and his celebrity guests as they enjoy Caipirinhas, Texas de Brazil’s signature cocktail, and dine on passed hors d’oeuvres featuring sizzling meats from the restaurant’s menu including garlic marinated sirloin, chicken breast wrapped in bacon and Brazilian sausage. The event will also include live Latin music throughout the evening.
Miami memorabilia will be available for purchase, with Beason on hand to sign autographs. All proceeds from the live and silent auction will go to Jon Beason’s MLB Foundation and its’ impact in the Miami community. His foundation betters the lives of youth by providing educational support, opportunities and resources.
Former Miami Hurricanes and celebrities that are expected to attend are: Matt Bosher (Atlanta Falcons), Colin McCarthy (Tennessee Titans), Antrel Rolle (New York Giants), Jonathan Vilma (New Orleans Saints), Sinorice Moss (Former New York Giants), and Fat Joe. **Celebrities may change without notice.**
The event starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th. VIP tickets are available for $150 per person which includes a signature series NFL football. Guests are not allowed to bring in outside memorabilia, so the football is a significant added value. Tickets are $100 per person for general admission, which includes drinks and hors d’oeuvres. This event is the first of Jon Beason’s MLB (Making Lives Better) Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to have touched the lives of more than 35,000 by 2016. Proceeds will benefit Jon Beason’s MLB Foundation by providing educational support, opportunities & resources to at-risk Miami youth.
