Canes were down 5-0 after a poor first inning from Suarez, but he settled and we came all the way back to tie it 5-5 in the 8th. Then the old demons came cack to haunt the Canes in the form of poor situational hitting in the 8th and 9th where Canes were 0 for 3 with runners in scoring position and relief pitching hurt the team again. After Eric N. got 2 outs in 8th, he got pulled for AJ Salcines, pre season All American with a 7.62 ERA coming in, who closed the 8th with a runner on second and then proceeded to give up 3 runs in 2 innings. Canes fall 8-5, missed an opportunity to sweep and move above 500 in the ACC. Morris had some questionable moves late in the game. Some worked out and some did not. 19-8 on season and 4-5 in ACC. We won the series though....

The teams leading RBI man, Thompson, didn't play again. Why is Morris keeping our best hitter on the bench in these conference games? In the Miami Herald today Morris said Thompson was fine.

Morris is experimenting with scrubs and not having his most clutch hitter bit him in the butt this last game.
