Same thing with me. I was 6.3 and 170 in high school….strong could jerk from my shoulders 235 lbs. and run the 220 yards in 22.2. I am now 250 lbs at 59 years of age and 40 degree incline press on a barbell 300 lbs….life has a strange way of doing things. I do not need the bulk and strength now!
I recall those Hoffman and Weirder protein drinks that were like plaster of Paris. I even drank Olive Oil (350 calories per tablespoon) with my sodas in the late 1960s.
