i know that next year is still far away, but i wanted to ask CANE nation who they thought would take the next step in being a breakout player for us next year?....i'm not talking about players that actually played, i'm talking aobut players on the scout team that didnt play at all?....i'm looking forward to the DEVELOPMENT of players, something we havent had here in some time....
i have 3 players:
Thurston Armbrister ( people are raving about this kid so far)
Rashawn Scott ( i think he will step up)
I like your list, but I would add Eddie Johnson and Dallas Crawford. I'm especially excited to see what Johnson can do.
Defensively, I'm really hoping foe Grimble to breakout and Porter. Health was an issue for both of them last year.
Offensively, this sounds obvious, but I want Seantrel to kill it this year. Also any receiver or TE, like Walford.
on offense i'd say clive walford and on d im gonna say ray ray armstrong. i have a gut feeling with ray ray, he was rated as the number 1 junior safety by mel kiper in august before Shapiro-gate and i really believe the suspensions got to him. look for him to really have really dedicated himself this offseason. with clive, they started to run more plays for him the last two or three games, setting up fades for him in the endzone. i think he is finally gonna step up and be a dominant tight end like we are use to seeing. and my dark horse in this whole thing is ryan williams
Of the guys who didn't play or didn't play much, I'd say Wheeler and McDermott on offense and Green on defense. If he can stay healthy, Green would be a good DE.
With that said, I think Morris, Hurns and Clements will develop into that 3-headed monster we've so desperately lacked.

Asante Cleveland n Thomas Finnie
I would like to see more of Cleveland
i wanna see a QB breakout, ryan williams could be that guy.
Our breakout has to be on the defense.
We need a passrusher plain and simple. Whether it be from the DE or the DT.
Luther Robinson looks dominant every time he's been healthy which has been for 15 plays it seems like the last couple years. He and Porter and Grimble have to be breakouts or this team's defense is in trouble.
A linebacker has to step up, whether it be Paul, Johnson or a freshman because we have a good/potentially great one in Perryman and then 2 big question marks.
My kingdom for a cornerback, any cornerback that can cover someone. McGee has to be the man, if not we are relying solely on really untested underclassmen.
Ray Ray and Vaughn: if they play just like an average safety it will be better then the past 3 years, just learn your assignments or it will be our next Ed Reed stepping up in Deon Bush.
Offensively, I'm not too worried. The offense was fine last year.
I think offensively it's really reloading and not rebuilding, lets just build on last year's offensive scheme and we'll be fine.
i forgot to add rashawn scott, that guy is just a playmaker!
I would love to see a breakout player at QB- Morris or Williams... We need that leadership for the offense, but as a whole I want to see the OL breakout last year was a very underachieving year for them... And on defense, we need Perryman to be the breakout player for us... And the leadership role have to come from the secondary with Ray-Ray, V.T. and McGee on the defense side...FEAR THE GOLDEN TIE
Offense- Walford and Morris
Defense- Grimble and Ricardo Williams.
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us." - Al Golden
Jalen Grimble and Cookie Buchanon, his veteran leadership will be needed.
I think Ray2x and VT stays the same way and will be lost again in coverage.
Yall know what, I think our defense is gonna be good this year, funny feeling here, with the young guys you don't play them alot you rotate them in alot so they're fresh and havr great first step amd fresh pop everytime and don't get mentally drained either key at the DT spot. De also can have the same type of thing. That should help free up the LBs to roam better. As I think yhey will be much improved. Then at safety I think we'll be awesome this year. At thr corners I say Howard locks down one side allowing the safeties to rotate easier. And the otherside will have better help and the D will be solid, yes we will have some miscues but fewer for sure. On offense thats the concern, but I see that group coming together well and gelling and Wr will progress quickly, and I see the Te showing up more. Key is being able to rotate the young guys so they dont get drained on both sides
