"O.J." Anderson played on crappy teams at Miami with less then average offensive lines yet broke all Chuck Foreman's records. First round draft pick pick eighth overall pick. First Miami back to rush over a thousand yards. Rush 1605 yards his first year with the St. Louis Cardinal's which were not a very good team at 5-11. Played from 1979 to 1992 in the NFL finished his career with New York Giants fumbled only three times in 739 touches with the New York Giants from 1987-1992. He is only one of four running backs in NFL history to score rushing touchdowns in two Super Bowls and win Super Bowl MVP (only Franco Harris and John Riggins accomplished this feat before Anderson, and later only Emmitt Smith achieved this feat)
Chuck Foreman and OJ Anderson are 2 great backs that many Miami fans don't remember because the playe prior to the National Championship teams.
Alonzo Highsmith was probably the best fullback and best combined Boxer and NFL player. Only 1 loss in his boxing career with 23 knockouts. -
