Bain Felt Good About UM Junior Day

  • CentralRockets said...

So looks like this is you guys year. Wheres the championship parade going to be?

no one is claiming a title coming to Tally, but possibily competing for one could happen, 2012 was more the year us Nole fans felt comfortable with giving the influx of talent and depth, if and it is a BIG IF the oline is decent we should have a good chance at competing, still need things to fall our way...

Out there? You mean Duvalnole dream land? The same place where EJ Emanuel is a good QB and Jimbo coaches a good offense??

EJ is a good QB, and Jimbo is good at offenses..., our oline was about as good as a pop warner team, Tom Brady would jave had a hard time behind that line.... games are won and lost in the trenches, you can't block you are hand cuffed.....

You guys have a NC caliber D, but your offense is baaadddd, Even Saban will tell you have to have an offense that moves the ball some to win a NC. I just don't see that happening with that O-line

hence why I said IF the oline is decent.... it all depends on them, some talent is there, still not a lot of expereince but maybe just maybe they actually do well, if so FSU can compete, not saying winning a title but compete....

  • -This site reported Nate Taylor had commited. Ferman reported it wasnt true. Ferman was right. Nobody gets every story perfect. Both Rivals and this site provide great coverage of the Canes.

but this site also called Tracy Howard to Miami about a day before.

I say ITU isn't 100% accurate, but it has more credibility than anyone else.

  • Alright guys let's stay on track here. Let's keep the discussion to Bain and his junior day visit.

    David Lake

  • Bain has been to FSU for a football game. There are multiple pictures of him on the field with Odell Haggins. He just has not gotten the full tour of the academic side of things. When he does, he will see that you first will get a bachelors in pre med then go on to medical school (after you wreak havoc in the NFL because of the tutelage received in Tally).

Yea because the NFL is just flooded with FSU stars lol GTFO with that. FSU can't sniff Miami when it comes to producing elite NFL talent even in our down years you can't out do UM in producing NFL talent.

  • FSU fans must be somewhat annoyed at this kid "committing" to one school and "favoring" another.

following recruiting this early in the process can be challenging

if Bain is SERIOUS about academics, he will see that FSU just can't compete with the U. ESPECIALLY in the field of medicine

FSU's med school is barely 10 years old.

UM med school is not only the first accredited med school in FL but it also is one of the best regarded in the country.

Myron Rolle sure did not have any troubles with our Med school when he could have chose other big time Academic schools.

He did do Pre-Med at FSU and graduated in three years, and I believe he is still working on his Doctorate degree when he is not training.

  • All our coaches have to do is show any aspiring Medical student this little blurb about Rolle

Aspiring to both the National Football League and medical school, Rolle played as a safety at FSU, completed all necessary pre-medical requirements, and earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in just 2.5 years with a 3.75 grade point average.[7] Rolle helped the Florida State Seminoles win on the field, and, off the field, he won a Rhodes Scholarship. He postponed playing in the NFL for a year in order to study at the Oxford University

  • Any true football fan is a fan of FSU, Deion (greatest DB ever), Charlie Ward, Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks, the list goes on. And we all know its all about #TheU.

  • @nole 24'

Dude there was no way in hell that Mario jr was going to Texas, come on man everybody knows he was going to fsu where his father played, he wanted to play the game which he did so the other schools would think he was interested so he could be treated like a king wherever he went.

We used to, the past several years have not been good but the talent level has been greatly upgraded at FSU. The talent at FSU and UF are both a step, or two, above Miami right now. And undergrads don't go to medical school. They do what is called pre med and that can be almost any bachelors degree from biology to english literature or mechanical engineering. Certain pre reqs have to met and that's it.

    StPete_Nole72037

  • Are we honestly comparing UM and FSu when it comes to NFL talents.... Besides the UM players that have been in the NFL for over 8 years... Like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed... Miami still beats out FSu in players the actually have a name in the NFL.... I don't know any major FSu player in the NFL, can someone name one??
