Property is cheaper and available land is easier to come by in Waco. Baylor also has a well to do alumni base.

The first two reasons: exactly. UM has a well to do alumni base so it's not about money.
Oh, and don't forget the commissioners who screwed us over for David Samson. His speech about Miami residents should get your blood boiling.

You didn't misinterpret it... although it's not because I don't support the cause. I just honestly feel like it's a pipe dream. Show me a petition and I'll sign it. Take up a donation (legit) and I'll write a fat check. Need more ticket sales? Mark me down for an annual season package. Believe me, I'll do my part if the University / City of Miami (or Coral Gables) will do theirs. As of now, I don't ever see that happening. I hope with all my heart that I am wrong. Unfortunately, I don't believe I am though... I can't give you a reason besides what you stated. That is my honest opinion & I feel strongly about it. I would LOVE it if you are right.

You do realize Dr Pepper is located there
How do you think they get Hoops players they get, like anyone in there right mind is going to Waco and I bet Football stadium will have there name on it or they will be involved in it big time
