  • I was on campus at UHealth today at the doc's office wearing a Canes shirt. Amari Cooper's momma works at the office I was visiting and told me who she was when she saw my shirt. I asked about her son's recruitment and why he didn't come to the U. She said she didn't like Al Golden because he was constantly calling and didn't seem very nice when he came to visit. On the other hand, she said Nick Saban was a "charmer" and that's why the family pushed for him to go to Bama. I told her most of these kids want the schools to show them love, yet when they do, it's considered harrassment? Hearing what she said tells me Golden is relentless and won't give up till he gets what he wants.

    Oh well, I love the receivers we got. They all look like playmakers and I can't wait to see them on the field!

    It has nothing to do with AG being rude, he was just being honest. I'm sorry we didn't sugar coat recruiting to her with a bunch of lies. Who knows, maybe she got offer a job at Ahealth. Good luck to the kid.

    Exactly. Obviously his mom hasn't been around football enough to know that Saban is the biggest liar and snake and con artist of them all and you can not trust a word that comes out of his mouth. It amazes me how people in South Florida are so quick to forget that he was the Dolphins Coach and the same guy that said like ten times "I'm not going to be the Alabama Coach" straight faced and then went and took the Alabama job. C'mon people wake the hell up!!!!!!! Coach Golden is one of the most honorable Coaches out there.

    i like um as much as most of you guys do and i just readed a golden interview where,golden stated he doesn"t negative recruit,try learning some repect for others. to many fans on this site act as if golden is screwing them. ps last time i checked saban was wining nc. the dolphins suck, can u blame him, he left for a better job. cry

    EVERY COACH DOES THIS!! All of these rumors & his response occurred at the end of the regular season when we still had a game or two left. Nothing was finalized at the time. Did you want him to pull a Bobby Petrino? I don't begrudge Saban one bit for what he did. He realized the NFL wasn't for him & went back to school, get over it.

    Did you watch the movie Blind Side? His portrayal in that, of course he was acting as himself, was that he was a charmer. Sandra Bullock's character wanted him.

  • OH WELL!!! The old thing about recruitment to me is about the player... Don't get me wrong parents should have some say in it as well but I don't think parents should get into the picking of schools, because they aren't the ones attending them... All parents should do is be there for support purposes, this is the kids future!!! All the parents talk about how coaches do this and that, first off why are they talking to the coaches, is he recruiting the parent or the player... But anyway good luck to the kid!!! But everyone knows Saban is a snake in the recruiting world, (Can someone tell me what happen to that QB who went to Bama, Sims I think.. He was the #1 QB in his class he haven't touched the field yet!!! I wonder what Saban told his parents?)
