Hope the coaches don't RS him, he very well might pull a Demps and opt out his Sr year (2016 Olympics) and I wouldn't blame him at all, kid is talented sprinter.

Do you watch Track? Bracy will not win olympic gold in 2016... you need to research man. Yohan Blake will be 26 at the next Olympics and he's already running low 9.7s. Bracy looks like a good prospect but as I stated before he trained hard in HS and that can wear kids down before or while they are in college. Most of the top sprinters today for the 100 either did not run the 100 most of prep school or they did not have adequate training. Tyson Gay ran a 10.4 in Kentucky in HS, his first year in JUCO where he had training from Lance Brauman he dropped his PR down to about a 10 flat. Coach Ken at FSU gets the most out of his sprinters but I dont see Bracy ever beat guys like Yohan Blake. Most FSU fans don't follow track to know times or stats they see because I bet most think Walter Dix has the Collegiate record in the 100 when he doesnt. Ngoni, a great long jumper from Zimbabwe, set the NCAA record in the rain up in Iowa a few years ago but no one knows him lol.

How do you know that. He might win gold. Unless you can see into the the future, if not try not to speak as if it is a fact.

I know track and the guys who are winning gold medals are usually strong 200 meter runners too which helps the latter of the 100 which he does not have. His race is off his start. Carl Lewis was a 19.79 200 guy, Justin Gatlin is about the same, Usain Bolt ran a 19.19, Yohan ran a 19.27 a couple years ago. Also most guys who transition from football have solid careers but dont make the olympic team besides a relay in the past 20 or so years. FSU fans can be delusional about anything but go ask that question on trackandfieldnews.com or to any other form such as letsrun and see the response you get.

Xavier Carter was the most promising of any former florida HS kid and he was a dual sport guy. Once he turned pro his career fell apart. As a Junior he ran a 44.5 400, 19.63 200 and a 10 flat 100. With the 10 flat and 44.5 coming 30 minutes apart at NCAA nationals and then he anchored the 4x4. As I stated Bracy is impressive but lets not get ridiculous here. Jeff Demps ran a 6.55 or 6.56 his freshman year in college too and Demps ran a 10.01 in HS. The fastest time for any US High school sprinter.

You don't know what will happen in 4 years is my point... to say someone will NOT do something in 4 years is ridiculous. However CHANCES aren't good he will win a gold but to outright say it will not happen is crap. And no one is delusional it is just being fans. You act as if you are the only person who has an opinion on anything. And then you try to say you have facts to back it up with. No what you have is an opinion like everyone else.

Fact is no one knows for sure what Bracy will or will not do... in time he could be a gold winner in the Olympics...

I doubt it Ngoni was never really recognized around Tally. Athletes are let free into bars like Pots, clubs and etc. here and I remember him being mad because they wanted him to pay. Fans dont recognize track results or the actual guys unless someone posts something about it, you guys are terrible about some sports in town. It's pointless to ask certain questions about him because you'll just google the answer but most wont know in the long jump he placed 4th in the Beijing Olympics. Cross County is worse both the men's and women's cross county placed 2nd in 2011 which is a pretty big feat but no one talks about that. Football, Basketball, then baseball are what fans usually stay aware of.

  • Actually the olympics is 3 years and guys who are in contention for the next olympics usually are at the top of their game because the World Champs are this year and in 2015 which is basically a dress rehearsal for the olympics (2015). Blake is coached by one possibly the best sprint coach in the world, Glen Mills, and you see progress with his training and times as he just turned 23 a few months ago. Usain will be 28 or 29 the next Olympics so he will still be a factor because sprinters reach their peak between the ages of 27-30. I've been watching and around track for 30 years so please with this crap about what I dont know. If he continues to play football he will not get out of the US trials the next olympics in 2016. Your body needs to be prepped the year before with a base training and strength in the fall before the indoor of 2016 and outdoor season. Alot of guys have impressive times when running one race all out because the competition isnt tough (HS races) but in the US trials and Olympics you have 3 rounds where you exert tons of energy with the semi final and final being the same day and hours apart. The Olympics are even more demanding.

All you are saying is his chances aren't good. Which I agree but to say some WILL NOT win is BS cause no one knows what will happen between now and then....

Again you do not know for a fact Bracy would not win. Nothing more, nothing less... and it doesn't matter how many years you have been around track you can not say for a fact on what will happen in 2016 or even tomorrow. Simple as that. So to say he will not win is not a fact as you are trying to present it.

  • Let's put it like this hopefully this board is still around and in 2016 I;ll come back and research these post. The top sprinters for US put in work year round. I know Bracy's former coach, Ricky Argro who ran at FSU from 03-05 when I first got to Tally. Ricky was a hard worker and he says Bracy is very dedicated but he has 2 things working against him. He trains half the year and you cant over work yourself trying to make up for lost time because you will burn out. Demps ran about the same times Bracy did as a Freshman so far and he got a reality check last Olympic Trials and didnt make the team. Demps ran like a 10.2 in the finals. .

You still don't get it do you.... it is not a fact that he will not win... chances are not good he will win....

You MOST likely will be right but there is still that chance that you can be wrong. Is that easy for you to understand. To say someone will not win 3 or 4 years in advance isn't speaking the trust as you are suggesting.

Again one last time and hopefully it sinks in NO ONE and I mean NO ONE knows what will happen in 2016 ...
