78% of all NFL players are bankrupt 2 years after retirement....

  • so can I please stop listening to these idiotic arguements saying that these guys made a smart "business decision" by jumping to the NFL? It was a huge risk, which might pay off for some, but the fact remains their window for earning is very short and very low for a 4, 5, or 6 rounder. Statistics say they wont even be in the NFL long enough to negotiate a 2nd contract. If youre a marginal prospect and dont have a degree, the likley reward is low and the risk is very high to leave early. Im so sick of talking about it, but this should be mandatory reading for all prospects thinking of leaving early.

Probably true. I say live and let live! Let the NFLPA deal with the social ills.
