One player that definitely got positive reviews at today’s Al Golden Football Camp was Ely cornerback Rashard Robinson.
Seems like there's a lot of good DBs in this class! But being that we took a lot last cycle I'm sure we'll take four maybe five with the Seniors leaving
Everywhere I have read we are only taking 1 CB with 2-3 S. I wish we had more room since this years DB class in Florida is sick.
Patrick Peterson got beat in high school. Robinson has two traits you can't teach size and speed. He is also a prospect that you can coach up.
In my eyes a lot of these players UM are looking at are athletes, meaning they could possible play either spot (corner or safety).... So think it would be best to take 3 or 4... And we use them wherever they fit best!!! Why not, whatever makes it better for the future!!!
Think about Tracy Howard he has the size to be a safety, but is playing the corner position... But if some of the other CBs from the 2012 class steps up and shows that they should be a starter, I think the coaches will switch him to safety just for him to be on the field... (Coach Golden has no problem switching a player around to make him fit his system)
In my eyes it's all about the best player on the field... Just because they are a 4* or 5* player coming out of HS, it's college now all those HS stats are thrown out the window... Not to get off the subject but that's what was happening in the past, HS stats was carried with some players while they were in college... Not anymore!!!
