The second-ranked Miami Hurricanes had their 14-game winning streak snapped as Wake Forest handed Miami a 80-65 loss on Saturday afternoon.
C.J. Harris scored 15 of his team-high 23 points in the first half for Wake Forest (12-14, 5-9), which had lost six of seven coming into the game.
It was the first loss for Miami (22-4, 13-1) since an overtime loss to Indiana State on Christmas Day.
The Demon Deacons took control of the first half on their home court behind 57.1 percent shooting (16 of 28) led by Harris' 15 points on five 3-pointers.
Wake Forest went on a 10-0 run to take a 42-23 lead before Miami scored the final six points before the break to pull within 42-29.
UM continued their surge as Scott's lay-up brought Miami within 50-45.
However, Wake Forest countered with another 12-0 run with just under eight minutes left stretching their lead to 62-45 and led by double digits the rest of the way.
